I read the article. The grimacing troll who is 17 and complaining about whether to go to GMU is about what I expected all these outraged students to look like.
Wouldn't a rational person just not take his class if they are that offended? I mean, it's one law class and he is teaching it in England. A lot of students are going to jump at that opportunity, but these entitled whiners want to take that away because they are butthurt about something that has nothing to do with them.

I guess I missed these ethical culture concerns at Tech. Is that the driving force behind Petersen leaving?

And @00Burdell, what are your thoughts on this guy since your kids are at Mason?

I gave a lot of thought before disclosing that. I live proximate to GMU and have many acquaintances from all shades of the idealogical spectrum. I can honestly report that none of any of this has ever come up. That should tell you that this is a non-issue for at least a random sample of folks for whom you would think would be concerned if there was anything to be concerned about.

So, to answer your question directly, my thoughts are that his candidacy is being evaluated on the merits without regard to hyperinflated SJW-sponsored issues designed to influence the evaluation. I hope that addresses your question.

Looks like a lot of angst over political issues and GMU seems to be glad he's leaving. Will be interesting to see if he gets hired.
He's the lone finalist, so the job is pretty much his to turn down.

None of those academic guys give a crap about football.
Our outgoing pres played football at Kansas State. His QB was Steve Grogan.

I haven't looked at Cabrera's timeline close enough to see if he was at Tech during the BL era. That could be enough to turn anyone off from football, if they weren't already a fan.

I don't know if their time at gmu overlapped, but we are obviously missing valuable input from CPH!

Always wondered if Peterson played for Doug Weaver at K state.
