The older rides were rough, particularly scream machine is awful. The park definitely didn't look great, a lot of the rides had lots of rust and missing paint and were definitely in need of a refresh. You can probably still get cheap tickets with coke cans or at the grocery store. Worth it for $15-25/person, wouldn't pay more than that though.

The Mine Train is gone? It was the best ride...50 years ago.

Mine train is still there. Goliath is great. The place needs a refresh, the food is ridiculous.
 
I've been to almost every amusement park on the eastern seaboard...as a place to go to ride roller coasters Six Flags over Georgia is pretty solid. Your enjoyment is entirely based on how strategic you are choosing days to avoid crowds.

Food has always been bad and ridiculously overpriced, like at every Six Flags park. It's no Dollywood or Busch Gardens.

The meal plan season Tix are pretty good. We would usually just get a meal and share. Burgers and stuff aren't too bad.

This is what my daughter does when she goes with her friends. Definitely a good way to save $ if you go more than two or three times a year. She lives close enough to WhiteWater that she has threatened to use her season pass just to get free meals. Whatever gets her through college without any debt...

The roughest coaster was the wooden one up near the front that they tore down I think. That was a total back breaker.

It was that one. Had a crick in my neck for 4 years after. Finally went away 4,000 beers later.
 
Went to Dollywood for first time last month. It was really great.

Plan a trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky Ohio if you like roller coasters.
