Few teams are as perennially overrated as the Georgia Bulldogs, although the Hurricanes have been making a valiant effort over the past few years. In 2018, they were considered a contender for Top 10 status going into a season that ended at 7-6, leading to the retirement of Reverend Richt. In need of a rejuvenation on offense, new coach Diaz turned to Bama's QB coach as the new OC. With all of the turnover in coaching and a spirited QB battle, the "experts" once again have the Canes tickling the Top 25.

Hard to really say what they will have on the field, but I certainly see this game as closer than the two touchdown spread the FPI indicates.

I'm in the middle on this one and give 0.1 pt advantage to Miami just because I don't recall the last time we won there. They are a hot mess though so are certainly beatable.

I think it's safe to say that da U will never be back. They have been mediocre most of this century, playing in only one ACCCG (2017-lost 38-3). They have lost 8 of their last 9 bowl games. Current recruits have no memory of Miami being a dominant football program, but I guess they still have brand recognition and have the benefit of being in the recruiting hot bed of south Florida. The attendance at their games is dismal, and being a small private school means they will never have the financial resources of the big factory programs. They have more in common with Duke at this point than any perennial national contender. The future is looking much better for us than them.

Miami was a joke until the 80's, and even then they only won natty's because of corrupt over recruiting and corrupt poll-based championships.
As soon as you had to win a real conference, and beat a real team in a real bowl they stopped winning so much.

Same. There's not a team in the Coastal that I think is clearly better than us, but I gave Miami a slight edge due to being at home.

Quick fact check on myself: all of Miami's NC's have come in Original 4 bowl games against "name brand" schools.
Three of whom were Nebraska, who it seems has a hobby of going to FL to be pummeled by that year's NC.
