It's finally here!! The CPJ era has moved on, wish him the best in retirement. Anxious to see the new head coach, staff, and players to see what they can accomplish in the ACC. Go Jackets! öööö Clemson and THWG!

I wonder where CPJ will be watching the game. Would love to see his reactions/commentary.

Speaking of CPJ, Mark Bradley ran another hit-piece on our former head coach. Not linking it because it’s the 2nd straight stupid article coming from that guy. Not sure what his deal’s been lately.

I love CPJ and enjoyed almost every bit of his tenure here, ups and downs. I thought he kept GT in the national spotlight plenty in his 11 year tenure and I also wish him well in retirement. I wish media would have taken it more easy on his past in the transition, and even CGC, who has never won anything compared to CPJ, has been throwing shade at the program's recent history. However, it's time to move on and it is officially CGC time in Atlanta. I have nothing but good things to say about what i've seen from the program since he was hired and I have started feeling better and better about this game as the days grow nearer.

I'm thinking GT comes out scoring early and often with the defense holding strong in a 38-17 thrashing.

Let's be realistic. This is going to be more of a skirmish than a battle. No sense drawing too many conclusions from a game against the #1 team in the nation who proved themselves head and shoulders above #2. The line is +37 for a reason. Let's cover the spread and get on with the season.

I got a little ahead of myself today. I kicked the neighbor dog. Nothing wrong with that of course, but I went out there to kick cats. And kick cats, I did. There is no shortage of confused meowing from roof tops and trees and gas tanks on this side of Atlanta this morning. But once I kicked the neighbor dog, a rage took hold of me, and I began tying dogs and cats together by the tail and then kicking them. The streets are ablaze, front yards are saturated in liquids best not described, women wail at the discovery that they are suddenly six months pregnant, and I have been declared legally dead twice since midnight. This is the world I have been guided to create by God himself as the 404th Age dawns. Go Jackets.

When we win this game, it will be because of defense, which will melt all of our faces and send crying mothers into the streets as clearly this signals the end of times.

For so long, our identity has been our offense, but that time is past. Today begins the rebirth of the Black Watch days when opposing teams trembled at the speed and awful carnage of a Georgia Tech defense. Scoring totals will remain under 30 points. The opposition will be befuddled at their meager yardage totals. It will be as beautiful as our offensive dismantling of MSU in 2014, but brutal and soaked in the blood of our enemies.

This is my prayer.

It’s not a battle till it’s a battle. The 1981 season opener comes to mind.
