We got the same jimmies and joes that won 7 games last year.
In an offense that we don’t practice anymore.

I was thinking about that as well. No big deal because we may not win another game this year, but ........ this game will be talked about for a long time. At least I hope so. While the Furman loss was embarrassing to the program, they had a better team than Citadel does now. I guess we were at a lower point then because we knew each and every week we were going to lose, while right now some people think we can win a game. IDK but the program right now is pretty dismal. I would highly recommend trying to use Oliver as much as possible - he has some talent.1983 Furman went 10-2, this year Citadel just lost to Towson and Elon. Worst loss in program history.
Same caliber, my ass. We lost 14 out of 22 starters and changed systems and you guys are all like "Well, Johnson won with these guys."I should’ve said the same caliber of jimmies and joes. We certainly didn’t lose enough talent to justify a loss to Citadel.
CGC did not inherit a roster even close to what CPJ did. Get the F over it. This too shall pass.
Nope. Losing to the Citadel will be with us for time immemorial. It will be referred to in the annals of GT college football history. Just like Furman in 83 and 51-7. This one of the lowest of lows since student built the first bleachers in 1913 on the flats. Yes, it is that ööööing bad.
I hope we'll have new highs to look forward to, but not sure we will under this coach.
Seriously? I had no expectations this season. He inherited a project. I believe in the guy.

Umm, no he didn't. If these guys were as good as the ones who graduated, they would have started.
Lol I’d say the butthurt ones are those crying like little bitches and acting like this team actually has decent talent availableI replied to you already the first time you said this. Go check that out.
You seem to be a little butthurt. Just relax my friend, everything gonna be OK.

After the Citadel debacle, a determination needs to be made as to whether the 'team' made any identifiable improvement from game 2 to game 3. IMO, Tobias Oliver was the loan bright spot. It is obvious that he has a knack for making plays when the ball is in his hands, so the offense needs to incorporate him into the offense more....and I don't mean as a QB running keepers.
Improvement over 1 week? What improvement do you expect with less than a handful of practice days?

CPJ did more with this roster than the current coaching staff is apparently capable of.
Remember all of those CPJ games where the team didn’t show up and either got by on the skin of our nuts or lost to vastly inferior teams?Enough talent to beat The Citadel, yes. You disagree?
I'm the one asking the question. Is this team improving week to week...not remaining stagnan , nor digressing. If there are NO positives to speak of on a weekly basis, then there are bigger problems than just lack of talent. Coaches are hired to improve the performance of the existing talent. If something is not improving, even in a terrible loss, then there are internal problems that need to be addressed.
I'm not asking as a fan to fan interaction on a message board. It's more of an assessment that the coaches need to answer.
