good thing we got rid of the option

Sewak was a better line coach than Key is. Went from no pass blocking and decent run blocking to garbage at both.

Was that the year of all the pile drives with our OL just watching the massacre unfold before their eyes?

Yes. And it was the last time uga was this good. We’ll see if Smart is more like Richt or Dabo. I suspect Richt.

We're paying Key to recruit.

We're paying Pataneude to.. ..uhh.. ..umm..

..get back to me, I'll figure it out in a bit.

You can teach a 320 lb lineman technique. You can’t teach a 280 lb lineman to be 320 lb with technique.

Patenaude is a man trying to keep his head above water in a riptide. We’ll see if he figures it out.

The triple option would have easily been a talent equalizer today and anyone that doesn't understand that is an idiot

I still think Key is a good coach. Too many other good coaches have hired him and kept him around, and our players have talked about how much he's taught them. His best player transferred before the season, and injuries have absolutely destroyed the others. I think time will show that he's the right choice at GT.

Patenaude, however... Color me extremely unimpressed.

Triple option blocking is not "run blocking" in any sense we are attempting to do now.

Yeap. It is much easier to zone block (like we do now) when the opposition is expecting cut blocking like you do in the triple. So even the stuff we should know is harder to execute. The triple forces a team into playing tall. Run blocking from a two point stance is much more difficult.

Edit: Nope =/= Yeap

CGC has really put those 6 win seasons and bad oline play into perspective

If we had not gotten rid of the 3O, instead of 1 - 3 we are at now, we would like last year (with a Sr QB in 2018 as well) have been 1 - ....... Nevermind.

We weren't going to beat UGA again under Paul Johnson either. That should've been clear to anyone after the last two years.
This is absolutely false. I’m not making comparisons to GC, but PJ needed one or two really good OL and we were damn near unstoppable

What year?

Cause the yr that everyone brags about Dook & UNC stopped us cold and the Refs blew a call vs GA Southern that we benefitted from

We've always walked a fine line under CPJ, but the fanboys were so blinded by their hero that they never paid attention

As far as going for 4th down from the Gun, last yr vs Dook they stopped us 4 times on 4& short and we were under Center each time, but since the fanboyz remember the mythology of PJ rather than the REALITY of PJ no one ever mentions it

Yeah, Clemson sucks. They escaped by one point to unc.

Yes, I too never wanted us to ever beat UGA again.
This is why they say English is the hardest language for non-native speakers to learn.
Because it's also the hardest language for native speakers to learn.
