We beat FSU in 2009. I took this pic probably on a Blackberry. Nesbitt, Thomas, Roddy, Dwyer, Burnett, Morgan.....on and on...damn what a team and a hell of a night.
I bet 10 years ago we were in a lightning delay.

And lightning delays too. Was a long long game. And probably the best 'Nesbitt toughness' moment ever when he stole the fumble back.
9 first half TD's total. Probably would have been 10 had we had time

Paul Johnson looks much younger. The other thing that stands out is the height/size of Nesbitt and Allen versus the QB's and RB's the last few years.

What a game and a helluva good football team. Can't believe it has been that long.

And Allen was playing AB at that size
In my mind, we got him in some kind of cosmic recompense for Petrino. Fair trade, imo.

Amazing play, looking back at it. CPJ putting Allen in motion from the left slot allowing him to take the pitch at full speed.
I love to remember how the week of the Carolina game, some douche from CBS was on 790, talking about how Miami had demonstrated that the ACC had gotten a handle on how to stop the option.

I was just about to say the same thing. We had much bigger players at the skill positions on that squad than in the last several years. After they left, we never had anyone as big as Anthony Allen or Lucas Cox playing A-back ever again. And Nesbitt was a Terminator playing QB.
