If we lose out....

Wells missed an extra point last try and almost kicked the kickoff out of bounds yesterday. He’s having a sophomore slump

He did kick a kickoff out of bounds along with almost kicking one out of bounds. Of course, that was probably the best strategy against #2 for Pitt.

That game yesterday was totally winnable. Our defense had one big breakdown that led to the pistol TD run for Pitt. Pitt was bottled up most of the day. Pitt's QB is solid. #2 for Pitt would probably start for almost any D1 team right now. Our D did a pretty good job.

You can see flashes of what we could be with a bit better DL and OL play. That said, our future QB to get us where we need to be is NOT on our roster. If Yates were the answer, Yates would be playing. Graham was throwing horribly to the out patterns - several bounce passes thrown. On our first quarter drive, we also had a huge drop that may have changed the entire complexion of the game. It was right in the hands - should have been an easy catch. We did get a pick a few plays later, but ran three times and punted out of it.

Ahmarean Brown is going to be a star at GT every bit as good, or better, than the #2 Pitt player

We tried a long onside kick which we likely would have recovered had it not gone out of bounds. I thought it was a good idea and it almost worked out. The kick that almost went out of bounds was a good kick but I'm not sure if the placement was intentional.

Onside kick(s)? I see what you did there, but interesting to say the least.

Just for the record, and it was humor following another thread, but 21 out of 22 players performed well enough to have beaten Pitt by ten. Unfortunately the one was so bad that it didn’t matter.

Graham had a bad day. That's not enough for me to say that he won't ultimately get us to a much better place.
