One advantage of getting the 2020 class already close to full is that we can shift resources to 2021 and get ahead of the game. Wilcoxson will be a great start!!
No such thing as getting any class close to full. Fallacy.

Keep recruiting for that class until every player for every ship is signed.

We will lose some, others will lose some and we need to get some of the others losses.

New day on the Flats.

Is QB Carlos del Rio presently a FL commit or is he still uncommitted?

So need 4 at a minimum, already huge DTs (not DEs who can maybe grow into a DT). Looks like 2020 is gonna be a near strike-out, unless we get the Bama flip, and even then we need numbers for the 2021 class.

Yes both correct. we have already backed off quite a few solid 2020 guys. On OL and DL, you will see some guys not as highly regarded still being recruited just because the need is do great. But at QB, RB, WR and DBs, the only kids still being aggressively recruited are absolute studs.

Also notice CGCs emphasis on size and especially length. Even the guys not as highly recruited have the body size and shape to be sick once they add 30-40 pounds their first year or two in college. Obviously, I am a huge fan of CGC so I am biased but even the lesser recruited kids like Watkins in this class have significant upside. 6’4, long, fast, and a beast of a football player. If he is 6’5”, 250 in 16 months, Wow.
How many times have we seen Tre Swilling and others get beat on routes due to inexperience and lack of pass rush only to swat away a well thrown ball this season? Speed and length will level the field for us as we rebuild and will be a strength in years to come.
