In the CFP poll, how is Ugag number 5 and Ala number 13.
 
Because they lost to the same team and Georgia’s loss to South Carolina was a more quality loss than Alabama’s loss to Auburn...... jk it’s bull shit.
 
To be fair, Bama's resume sucked this year. They didn't have a single top-25 win. Georgia had 3. I'm not saying Georgia is a way better team, but I think everyone overhyped Bama this year. They were not that good. Especially after Tua got hurt.

Nope. If Florida and Auburn are 9 and 12, then UGAg should barely be above that at BEST. They did beat those teams (only by a TD each), but both of those teams played much better against LSU than the mutts did. I don't get it. They are perpetually over-rated, even when they lose.

At the very least, there is no way they should be ahead of Oregon, who beat the former # 5 in convincing fashion. But you know the reason. ($EC)

Compare scores against South Carolina, A&M and LSU. AL did not lose to a 4-8 team at home unranked.

The score-comparison game is not a good indicator for who's the better team.

Yeah, Georgia lost to an unranked USCe team, but Clemson also lost to an unranked Pitt team in 2016.

The thing that kills me about this is UGAg seems to always get the benefit of the doubt when it comes to "we beat x and they didn't." When in fact its always been stated that you cant wholly compare teams based solely on like competition, and that's what it seems is being done with the mutts. Theyre ahead of everybody Auburn beat because they beat Auburn. By that logic USCe should be above them.
 
After the beat down at the hands of LSU their being ranked over Oregon is a joke. I also believe that for one loss conference champions like Memphis, BYU and Appalachian State to be ranked so low to be hopelessly out of the playoff picture is ridiculous.
 
My opinion?

Eye test. They are clearly the team on paper that should have made the playoffs.

From what I have seen of them they just dont have "it". Fromm and Swift had these weird beavis and butthead looking on-field conversations like they didnt know wtf was going on. Other than their defensive backfield, performance seemed remarkably inconsistent compared to other Georgie teams Ive seen.

Sometimes a team ends up nowhere close to the sum of its parts. On paper, the sum of the parts Georgie assembled should be impressive, but put together they make a lemon. I have no idea why.

Even their own fans sense that something is wrong over there. But "on paper" they have one heck of a collection of athletes.

And before anybody gets all huffy, there absolutely is such a thing as an 11-2 lemon.
