Can't believe no one has posted something about this yet but our boy, Butker, is going to the Super Bowl!!!

What are the odds he's the hero and wins it with a field goal??
That would be freaking awesome if it happens. (If it were 51 yds, that would be even better)

I have no idea what those actual odds are, but it’d be kick ass to watch that happen. And if he was lining up for the game winning 51 yarder, and I was in Vegas, I’d bank on him making it.

Think Collins is anticipating this and wants to make sure Harrison is repping the good guys.

I’m sure he is hoping Butker reps GT during media days, Super Bowl week, etc. CGC understands marketing/branding. This is a brilliant move to try to use a former GT player’s platform to rep the program.

Maybe I'm missing something, but Butker's kick vs. UGA was longer than 51 yards.

There is a video somewhere of him kicking 71-yarders in practice. It was insane to see the ball just keep sailing. Almost looked fake lol

That was in Mexico City before the Raiders game in 2019. The thin air at 8,000 feet helps a lot.

Yep. It was 53 yards according to this.

Wouldn’t have been good from 53.25 yards either. My seats were 4 or 5 rows up on the uga side of that endzone directly in line with the goal post. When the ball was descending it looked way short. Something intervened and the last few yards the ball just kept sailing towards the post and just got over. It was incredible. The silence. The silence of 100k mouth breathers. Glorious.

I was with Flunkout and two other Tech fans in the opposite student section surrounded by gagger students. The four of us were ecstatic and in our own little bubble while everyone around us was just stunned. Easily my top sports moment.
