Friday Night Lights--UCF Sept. 18

Sucks. Read the article in the AJC about the switch. Everyone other than the fans were considered.

I don't agree. This is yet another example of short-term thinking by college football admins, constantly chasing ratings at the expense of the many little things that make college football better and different.

The debate over college football on Friday nights is a different one than this decision for this one game imo. The ACC already sold its soul to ESPN to include Friday night games.

2nd class move.

Slap in the face of h.s. football where we were just starting to repair relationships.

No first class college program is going to schedule a friday nite hone game.

1) not all high schools play on Friday night
2) we are front and center on ESPN in prime time, not buried in a nooner no high school kid would watch anyway
3) guarantee our recruit targets playing Friday night would be intently interested to know if Tech won that night, being the only game on.
4) late night replay by recruits will show our beautiful skyline. Early morning ESPN coverage will have the highlights of our game.

I would be disappointed in this change if it was an October game, mostly because of Friday rush hour traffic and the parking lots not opening until 5:00. In September, though, I'm happy to see night games scheduled regardless of the hassles. We should only have one scorcher at home this year and it will be Gardner Webb in week 2.

Attendance will be low on a Friday night. Good time for a white out! Dumbasses.
Probably higher attendence than UCF at noon the following day.

Gardner Webb attendence will be low on the 12th

I hate this decision. SEC loving ESPN of course wants us to take the hit with high school programs. I don’t see them asking UGA to move a Vandy or Mizzou game to Friday, although that would be acgreat Friday night ratings game. We have six games at BDS. One is on a Thursday, which means the only recruits able to see you will be local. Teams do walk through practices on Thursday and certainly don’t want there players out late. Almost no recruits will be at the UCF game now. I know we have little leverage to turn down television, But, no one can convince me that Friday night home games do not weaken our hand,

Has nothing to do with when h.s. play their game.

Front & center on Thursdays has signed us zero 4 or 5*

If any recruit of GT is more interested if we won on Friday as compared to Saturday we are backsliding in recruiting.

Would like to see night shots of Grant Field and be abke to tell if on a Friday or Saturday.
