That’s a great athlete disguised as a QB. Hopefully he can take a big step forward this fall. Consistent QB play will really open up the offense.

We have a number of new skill players here or committed that will make quarterbacks look good.

This includes one on campus last season that was not allowed to play, cuz NCAA is racist.

Maybe next years highlight film can have some clean pockets in it? Man he got demolished on some of those throws.

Even with the injuries to (let’s face it...a not-very-talented) OL, those guys actually improved as the year progressed. If you look at the OL offensive execution in games against USF and Citadel, they became light years better after a season of ACC play.

Looking forward to what JG can do with more competency in front of him. He’s definitely talented.

Those mechanics look a little off. Something weird about that release... more like a heave than a throw. I hope he worked with a QB coach this off season to clean that up.

It is rarely a case where a "QB coach" can simply clean up basic mechanics. Otherwise, Tebow would be NFL HOF. Players always revert to what feels natural when they are under pressure.

What I think you see with JG is a combination of hand size, arm length, and core strength level. I think it will be a bit cleaner naturally next year. Joe Hamilton did it too, particularly in his early years, so I am not worried.

It's not a windmill. It's quick enough out of his hands. I don't think it hurts accuracy.

The block at 1:56 by Malachi!
Pretty sure he got flagged for it and the very next highlight in the reel was actually the play immediately following his run to the end zone. Maybe I am misremembering

We haven’t had a QB with solid throwing mechanics since Hamilton. Maybe Bennett was okay, I don’t remember him too well to be honest.

I noticed 2 TDs scored at 0-0 so you must be correct. I wonder if you are in that situation where it would be a crackback if you could just get in his way like a pick in BB, don't know the rule.

We are in the middle of the lost QB years at GT (started mid '17 and probably runs through '20). Graham should demand a position change, but I totally get why he won't.

That throw and catch against Miami (3:21 in the video) was nice. Stepped up, thought he was about to tuck and run, but instead launched a TD to Brown (great catch on his end too). His motion might not be perfect, but he has a pretty quick release.
