The ACC had lots of talented running backs last year, including Cam Akers, Travis Etienne, and more. However, one of the best running backs in the conference was the underrated Jordan Mason.

He broke a tackle on 44% of his rushes per Pro Football Focus, which was the best mark in the nation last year. In addition to that, he averaged 4.4 yards after contact, which was eighth-best in the nation. Much like Akers, Mason had to do a lot of the work himself behind a battered and bruised Yellow Jackets offensive line.

Echoing the Graham post - it would be nice if he doesn’t have to break three tackles to get back to the LOS this year.

Omigosh what a great article. How much you want to bet that we start throwing to him to address that draft question.

I think it’s been good for Mason that they’ve signed top notch RBs two years in row to keep pushing him.

I feel like I remember reading before that Mason has good hands. Wasn't he cross-trained as an A-back his first year or two?

Correct, He was in a-back first year.

What’s wild is he might be only the third most naturally gifted guy In the fb rotation, he might not even see as much time on the field this year due to rotation, players gonna play though. He can be Mr. Steady and Griffin and Gibbs can be lightning off the bench.
