3 Tech athletes, 3 staff test positive for COVID.19

There will be no football this fall.
Honestly I think we all are exposed to covid-19 so it seems safer to have them report and get tested rather than walk around as asymptomatic carriers. Eventually we should have covid-free players if we can keep them in an isolated environment. Probably much easier said than done, though.

We wouldn't want people who don't know they have it to spread it to other people who will never know they have it.

This is all BS.

I mean do we really even know enough about this virus to know what the true dangers are? Anyone who has an opinion on it is basing this opinion upon incomplete data sets, at best. I dont know how safe asymptomatic carriers are in the long run or how infectious they are but I do know for sure it is better to know you are a positive carrier than to not know, thus why I think its better to have players report and get tested.

It's amazing how the basis for panic and fear changes month to month. First it was 2 million deaths, then it was a shortage of ventilators, then it was the death count. Now we have people freaking out about a few players with mild viral respiratory infections. Better shut down our society and economy quick because a cold virus might be in the forecast.

May be overall positive for GT if true. We are so young. If we could cycle in one more recruiting class, and cycle out one more class of CPJ holdovers, we are that much closer to be competitive, without having to post another dismal season.

I'm not sure this is true, as persuasive as it may be on paper.

Ya gotta go hit people if you are going to improve, people you don't practice with every day. Even if the results do not increase the win total, it is important to play to improve. Otherwise, you are one year removed and the progress in building a team may stall. The season may not be "dismal," in all respects, even if you do not enjoy the win-loss ledger.

There is more to converting from one offense to another than simply getting rid of the old regime's players.

The whole NBA experiment will implode in the nest few weeks. The NFL will hold on a bit longer. I think by start of next month the college season will be talked about starting in February. I believe we are on the verge of losing the sport of football all together. Get ready for LOTS of changes starting next year.

I think the best hope is games with empty stands. If that's all I can get, I'll take it. It should generate good TV money...

I'm basing this on Europe having successfully restarted their pro leagues only with empty stands.
This. Watching Tech play football on the TV with no fans present is better than no football.

Heck, I’ll even wear a mask if they’ll let me sit in the stands.
