No fans for Duke, cutouts instead

Kentucky Derby just texted to ticket holders that they're closing to fans, as well. Originally was 20% capacity.

To me the cutouts are just creepy. I could do without those in any sport. I still can't believe the Masters is not allowing some fans. Or that the Indy 500 didn't allow any.

I didn't watch Indy. Really no fans? There are 250k seats and it's 2 and a half miles around. They could have social distanced 25-50k easy. But I guess you run into concession/bathroom issues, people getting in and out.

I enjoy seeing the cutouts get hit by baseballs...

no fans. races earlier this year did have some fans and RVs. i dunno what the deal was.

They went to 50%, then to 25%, then to no fans with restrooms being the stated issue. 25% at Indy is still 100k fans, so I can't argue too much, I guess.

weird. i mean they could still let in like 3000 to 5000. those Iowa races had quite a few fans.

Ridiculous. The Dukies were ahead of their time when it comes to social distancing.

Out of curiosity, I looked at Boston College’s ticket site (we play up there this year), since they seem the next most likely team on our schedule to play without fans.

Their first game (Ohio) will be played with no fans, and they say that if they sell tickets for the other games, it will be based on approval from state and local officials. So it sounds like they don’t really have a plan in place and there’s a decent chance they’ll play with no fans, IMHO.
