We will be materially better than expected. Our offense line is significantly improved. Our defense line will be the best since 2008. Our secondary will be legit. Our skill positions are at the top of the ACC. I also think we have a quarterback (we just don't know it yet).

If even half of those are true we are much better team than last year (and we weren't last last year either).

This is just lazy reporting.

This season, more than any other, preseason polls mean nothing. Winning our division and winning the conference is the only thing that matters (in regards to rankings).

Their schedule. They avoid Notre dame and Clemson and get most of their winnable games at home. IIRC, they’re returning a lot of starters from lasted years like we are.
