Historically, we are 7-2 all time vs BC and 4-0 at their place or Ireland. Our 2 losses came in Atlanta in 1998 and 2007. We have a 3 game winning streak on the line.

The stats are definitely skewed a bit from a scheduling standpoint since BC hasn't faced nearly the same type of schedule.

GT will have a chance if they can get the running game going. Concerned about our secondary--they'll need to make some plays and/or we need a pass rush to show up or BC's QB will look like all-conference like GT's D made the average joe at Syracuse look.
I watched them twice against Pitt which they won in overtime when the Pitt kicker missed a tying extra point and against UNC which they lost. The quarterback is big, very accurate and very slow. No running game to speak of. They feature one of the best tight ends in the ACC a guy who is tall can move pretty well, get open and catches everything thrown his way. They have a speedster named Flowers, I think, who can really scoot. They throw the ball deep more than most teams and they have had something like 18 sacks because the quarterback holds the ball until the very last second. He is willing to take a hit to make the completion. The key for Tech will be to get pressure on him early and often. He will not hurt us running but given time he is deadly accurate. A lot of feast and famine going on here.

Are you trying to get us Matt Ryan’d because that is how you get us Matt Ryan’d.
We would have been better in the Matt Ryan game, but, iirc, we had to put Pat Clark at corner for the game due to injuries. He was inexperienced there and did his best, but he was out of position and Tenuta did little to get him help with his coverages, other than try to blitz from all angles to try to throw Matt Ryan off a bit.

I really thought we were going to get a 15 yard penalty on the crowd that night. Borderline riot after the bad calls

The BC OL held like crazy that whole game and didn’t get called for it, either. Ryan with infinite time was a bad recipe.

Yep. Cups and garbage flying out of the stands. I believe we should have even gotten a safety call in the south endzone for a holding call while Cosmo Boy was in the pocket back there

Yea. After that PI call the guy next to me reached back and slung one of those small (but bigger that airplane bottle) glass Jack Daniels bottles onto the field. From about midway up the student section in the North it damn near landed at midfield. Dude had an absolute cannon on him.

I think I may have told my dad and daughter "I might get thrown out of here tonight"

A couple of asides on BC:
Starting tackle Taylor Vrabel is the son of Titans head coach Mike Vrabel
Their holder on field goals and PAT is John Tessitore, son of ESPN play by play guy (and BC alum) Joe Tessitore. So, so glad he's not doing Monday Night Football anymore.
Freshman tackle Ozzy Trapilo (listed at 6-8, 295) is the son of former and late BC and NFL lineman Steve Trapilo. The elder Trapilo was a pretty good OL back in his day. The younger Trapilo went to BC High — there is a Boston College High School. It used to be right around the corner from the Boston Globe until the Globe moved.

I knew, unfortunately, Matt Ryan and you sir, (the current BC quarterback) ain't no Matt Ryan. He can throw the ball pretty good.

My behavior that night was not in keeping with my church office...fortunately, neither my wife nor my pastor was there to witness the, uh, intemperate language among other things that I indulged in and later had to repent. That said, the bastards were holding all damn night and the officiating was among the very worst I have ever seen at Grant Field.

Your TV announcing crew for Saturday's game:
Play by play: Chris Cotter (Ga Tech grad)
Analyst: Mark Herzlich (Boston College grad)
Sideline gal: Kelsey Riggs. I'm sure she went somewhere.
