Reading comprhension is your friend. There is a chance that if you develiop it, it will make your posts seem less "stupid."

I very clearly did not say ANYWHERE that I "expect a coach to come in here and turn things around right away." I don't. And if I HAD said that, it would have been stupid. But since I didn't say that, and instead I merely ASKED for a timeframe for our patience and lack of criticism, and when we should expect things to turn around . . . it is YOUR post that is "stupid."

But I'll mark you down in the "he gets until the end of 2021 before we should criticize" camp.

Oh, and I am well aware he is not going anywhere any time soon. Posted the same thing here more than once. Criticizing is not the same as saying "off with his head!" Thinking they are the same thing would be . . . what was that again . . . "stupid."
Everyone knows the level of talent was subpar when CGC arrived. But he can't get a pass for things like lining up correctly, kicking an extra point, faking a punt from the 30 yard line, getting delay of game penalties coming out of a time out, etc. He has 25% more assistants than any previous coach at Tech. I fully expect to see the team hit the field in mis-matched uniforms soon.

So disappointing to me that so many Tech grads cannot answer a simple question that required only a simple numerical value.

So many different numbers of years in your post . . . two years, "year 1," 5 years of safety . . .

Here, maybe I should give an answer, so all of you IM majors can see how it's done . . .

For me, the expiration date of grace is two full years, End of 2021 season.

At that point, if this team still looks like a goat rodeo and is getting housed 73-7, losing to teams like The Citadel, losing season, etc., then there will be no excuses for me.

I realize he would not be fired. But that sure as hell doesn't mean I should patiently have to hold my tongue about it, or not blast TStan for botching the hire with which we would probably be saddled for a couple of more years.

Sure hope it NEVER comes to that, either. I am hoping hard that CGC is able to turn a corner and eventually get better results than we've seen so far here - or frankly, than he produced at Temple. Don't need to be seeing people here trying to keep spraying him with Teflon in 2022, 2023 . . . 2025.

Hopefully, I won't either.

Go CGC.
Taking over for Matt Ruhle in the American is completely different than taking over for CPJ at Tech. I am certain you understand that.

Someone who doesn't give a öööö about this conversation needs to let @1982Jacket know he's objectively retarded. Applying the r/politics method of "debate" doesn't make you an ebic droll, it just makes you a cunt. My guess is that in the unbalanced and amoral universe in which this state resided during the early 80's, the Idiocy Inflationary epoch was too great, too rapid, to avoid a handful of drooling daddy diddlers mistakenly ending up in white and gold. Most of them killed themselves just after New Years 1990, but thank god he resisted the urge and i pray fervently that he is not considering suicide at this precise moment

Collins has five wins so far as Tech head coach.
The three teams he beat last year finished 4-8, 4-8 and 6-7.
The two teams he's beaten this year are 2-6 and 2-6.
So he has yet to beat a team that will finish its season with a winning record.

I know. It's a pretty ööööed situation that CPJ left us with. Honestly how many games did you have us winning this year? I know i'm beating a dead horse but Vegas has us at 2.5. What record this year would've impressed you?

6 wins would have impressed me, but I didn't expect that.

I think Collins has to be going to a bowl in 2022, and show signs of improvement in 2021 such as being able to kick extra points, a better defense, and fewer offensive turnovers.

If I felt like our players were being coached up I probably wouldn’t have as big of a problem with this. I would buy the talent issue more. But our coaching staff seems more intent on focusing on shiny objects than they do coaching fundamentals so we have lack of talent + poor fundamentals.

How many years does Collins get before message board whiners step up their game and do more than whine?

Maybe write a stern letter to Todd?

Yeah 6 wins would've been very impressive. Yeah bowling in 2022 is a very attainable goal. The kicking game had been putrid under Johnson too but yes it needs to be fixed asap because a P-5 school shouldn't be dealing with such inadequate players. The defense should get better and we still need to replace a good number of players who aren't even acc caliber. I still think we could show big improvement this season but we'll see. About the Freshman QB, he does make you want to pull your hair out but I get the feeling they wanted to throw him to the fire and hopefully by year two he'll have grown up a little. Do you remember Joe Hamilton's freshman year? Do you remember how much different he looked after taking the lumps of a first year QB in the acc. I can't remember off the top of my head but I want to say he had 7 td's, 12 int's.

I don't think you guys that keep posting this are cognizant that Vegas is factoring in who our coach is just as much as they are factoring in the roster CPJ left.

Bowling? Is that the goal here - bowling? In your fourth year, you get into the Cure Bowl and wear your pussy pink armbands: goal, attained! For that matter, Tech went bowling in 2018.

I'd say the goal is to make a bowl next year and never have a losing season again. Losing seasons should almost never happen at Tech. They should be unacceptable especially with the conference being down. I think CGC wants to eventually compete for national championships unlike others who constantly lower the bar for Tech.

You doing ok there bud? I wouldn't want you to blow a gasket.

Yeah 2018 yay! I think I'd like to forget about that bowl game. After a decade that's what we're throwing out there now?

Woah bro you blew my mind right there. Do you think Vegas factors in everything? Woah. Do you think they even factor in the ööööty fan base support half way through the coach's first freshman class?

Two different posters; two completely different answers. BTW, I might be wrong, but I don't think too many longtime Tech fans are going to just be patient with CGC and hold our tongues if this team still hasn't "got it going" and is still getting housed like this after "6 full recruiting cycles" (i.e., in 2025). Honestly, that sounds like a Dawg fan's dream . . .

Not surprised by the WILDLY varying answers from another full year to five more full years of patience and waiting before we can give up on CGC . . . .

But I'd still like to hear from our brother cuzjacket.
Fine. But do you have to come here and post the same thing over and over 1000 times? You’re redundancy is boring the öööö out of everyone. Where’s the excrement poster when you need him.
