Rough week for USCe. First they thought they had this coup wrapped up only for it to fall through and now Gunner Stockton (#1 DT QB for the ‘22 class) is getting CBs to follow Bobo to Auburn. Almost worth swallowing your pride and keeping the incumbent OC around when you’ve got a complete rebuild and he’s got a 5* QB in his pocket.

Edit - didn’t even realize that they were going after Key because the OL coach they had just hired (Friend) immediately packed his bags to join Bobo at Auburn. :lol2:

I guess not funny since we want them good to put up some semblance of a decent program in the east alongside UF to challenge uga. But kind of funny since they tried (failed) to steal Key.

They didn't run Bobo off. They were gonna pay him $1.2M to stay, got the OL coach he wanted, then they both bolted.

The fact that you called it country and western tells us enough to not give you a say in the matter.
Has there really been an actual country recording put out in the last 10 years that’s been popular? Not talking about that gross pop country

This is tautological.

What has been popular, if you are not talking about what is popular?

You could make an argument for Chris Stapleton but to me, he is more blues than country.

Blake Shelton has put out a few. I don’t really listen to country except when my daughter is in the car (she’s 11 before anyone asks for pictures)

Blues at least counts because it has historically significant cultural roots as does country. As long as it’s not pretend blues.

I would never ask for pics of your daughter, what would your mom think of me?

Are you going to define what you mean by "popular"?

Chris Stapleton topped the Country Charts and is a high grossing live performer. And he is not bro country. There are a lot of others that make millions per year touring but are not on the country charts. Sturgill was a great example as @IM79 posted. Jason Isbell is another high grossing artist that has been on the Country charts.
