When a former 5 star can't get on the field, there's something else going on, even at Bammer. Other than as a regular (non-PWO) walk-on, no thank you.

But Alabama has oodles of 5-stars. If he were transferring from a school with lesser talent I would be more suspicious of his worth. Maybe there is something else going on, but just because he can't crack the starting lineup at 'Bama doesn't mean he couldn't help us out.

?? Do you mean Harris?

Harris is coming in as a DE. Probably talking about Eley from MD

Think that makes sense to explain a young guy like Harris who was a RS-FR got passed at his position by two true frosh who were both Top 20 players overall in their class. Don’t think it is a great explanation for a guy who’s been there 5 years.

I remember Francis Kallon was a 5 star.
Nowhere was Kallon a 5*. I believe Rivals gave him their lowest 4* rating based on potential after only play 1 or 2 years of football in his life.

I remember Kallon being recruited as a high potential project; I don't think he was our top DL recruit that year though.

Makes sense.
Speaking of Harris, he was a high 4-star recruit. Really excited to see what he can do on the Flats with what, 4 years eligibility left?
