Fighting words: Jaybo Shaw ready to ‘beat Georgia’

Flowery Branch quarterback Jaybo Shaw was up front with new Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson the first time they met. The senior may also have been a little ambitious.

“I told [Johnson] that I was going to be his first quarterback to beat Georgia,” said Shaw, who backed out of a commitment to Middle Tennessee for a verbal commitment to the Yellow Jackets. “He liked the sound of that.”

Looks like his words came to fruition today. While he wasn't on the field much, he held the fragile pieces together late when Nesbitt got hurt.
