I believe he should also get, "game ball," recognition for his play when Josh was hurt in ugag game. He came in cold, and kept drive going that led to a score, by helping get a first down. This gave Josh time to get his bearings after being hit.

Thats nice, but I'm still giving it to Roddy Jones. He had over 200 yards on the ground!!!

I really wonder what the outcome of the game would've been had we not gotten that first down.

I used the word also because I agree about Roddy. Although it is scarry to think of what could have happened if that first down had not been made.

the only thing is the first down was done on a toss sweep...it was not a read play. I could have been in there and as long as i made the pitch to roddy and the line blocked the same way it would have been a first down.

Jaybo didn't do anything on that 3rd down play and rushed for 3 yards on the two prior...not sure what he did to deserve this post.

Seriously, all I commend him for was not turning it over.

just my opinion....Now...if it was a read play I would more willing to give kudos....

Certainly, by this criteria of just being in the game Marcus Wright deserves a game ball too though. He recovered a fumble and made a key block on the LB at the goaline in the 1st half that lead to 1st and goal from the 3...which lead to Cox's TD.

I also think Barrick deserves a game ball for not getting a first down, but gaining enough yards to make the winning FG a chippy

seriously...just poking at ya in good fun.

It could have been a much different outcome. Did you hear the UGAg fans when Jaybo took the field? They smelled blood - like this was their usual lucky break and now they were about to get the ball back, take the lead, and make it 8 in a row.

Jaybo not only took care of the ball - that pitch to Roddy on 3rd down was not something "any of us" could have done. It was a 270 degree long pitch to a back in motion and he hit him right in stride, which is what made it a first down play. He came in cold, did his job, moved the chains, and put us in position to keep the game out of reach. Then Josh and Roddy CRUSHED THEM the next series!

Dunno about deserving a game ball (laces, maybe?) but Jaybo does deserve credit for a very good job of performing his role as the backup.

All good teams have to have a capable backup QB; all championship teams need one that can step in for the starter and not miss a beat. Jaybo did that for MSU and Duke, not so much for UNC. Would he have been able to for the UGa game?

Yea, you probably could count to four under hostile conditions and a very tight game. Sure you could.

Agree with most of this, but remember that for UNC he had virtually NO offensive line. If he had a mostly healthy offense to work with that game, things I believe would have turned out different.

To his credit, when he came in, we really started moving the ball until we got hit with back-to-back chop block/holding penalties and things turned to crap from there.

He came in and did his job for 3 plays. You guys need to get off his jock. Jaybo will never be the #1 starter at Tech, mark it down.

If Josh goes down with a (heaven forbid) season ending injury, he will be.

This year, true. Jaybo has a lot of talent but Next year, I think there will be competition for the backup OB if the true freshmen are as good as advertised. Jaybo can help himself a lot by putting on some muscle in the off season. He is really frail and easy to knock down now.

Jaybo did a decent job for a true frosh especially under the circumstances. Big jump from Flowery Branch to D1 major college football.

Don't mean to compare the two but I can remember Goose Godsey looking like a goose whenever he had to spell Lil' Joe. He improved.

Give 'im a break for crying out loud!
