Friend and I are going. My first time going. Friend is also a Tech grad but was a Stanford fan growing up and has travelled to a few of the South Bend games.

When I spoke with my ticket rep last week, he said the AA was still working on getting a ticket allotment and location.

Last time the allotment for low A-T points & cheap Grant Field seats was upper South stands. Still had to walk up a few rows to see Touchdown Jesus. Felt right at home sitting on a ööööty bench.

The High Roller section looked to be lower bowl behind where the band was (the band being on the field to the right of the GT bench).

Always wanted to see a football game in the snow — here’s a rare chance.

Doubt I make this one, but for anyone planning a trip for the first time there really isn’t a bad seat in that stadium. I wouldn’t worry too much about how far/close you are. Cool venue.

Huge lot to tailgate in too; 2:30 game probably ideal.

I'm going. Haven't gotten tickets yet though.

I’m going. Bought the train package.
Any info on this? Going with some friends and we have no idea what we're doing for transportation yet.

We drove in 2007 and stayed in Elkhart. Wasn’t too bad if you’re on a budget. Driving to the Orange Bowl two years later felt much worst

I'm going with my 9 y/o son. Planning to drive. Got tix through GTAA. They notified us a week or two ago that we would be getting the tickets.

Is this a 6-year rotation? I’m targeting the next time it happens

It beats having to rent a car and drive Chicago.
Happy to say my friends agreed -- we're booked on the train! Thanks for the tip.

We added the tickets to the package so that's sorted as well. Seats will suck I'm sure but the price was right and it's always more fun to sit in the Tech section.

We did the ticket option too. I’m just happy to be going to the game. We will probably need our whiskey clear to keep from freezing our collective asses off at this game. I work with a guy who went to ND and he said everyone calls the game the week before thanksgiving “the cold game.”

Tickets on StubHub are reasonable. I called ticket rep and they said that I could buy now, but wouldn't be guaranteed tickets.

Well, out of curiosity, if they had a game after thanksgiving wouldn’t that be the cold game?
