Because they have not played together long enough to have cohesion. Basically, two transfers, two freshmen, and two option holdovers.

Things are coming together. But there is definitely work to do.

I don't know if you're right it not, but I really hope you are. Thank you for offering a level-headed response.

Score today doesn't negate the fact that the running lanes were not created and Yates was scrambling for his life more often than not. This against a DL that averaged 250lbs. What is going on??
Yates had a clean pocket for most of the game. A few of the sacks/pressures in the second half were because he made bad RPO reads.

Our RPO game has been really bad regardless of QB for 3 years

Actually 3 transfers. 2 new for this year and Johnson back for his second year. How long should it take for them to fit together? Hopefully soon since 3 of them will be gone after this season and we start over for next year.

Inexperienced quarterback play is part of the problem, but hey they are freshmen and they both do some things very well.

I interpreted the original post as someone who wants to just put helmet on helmet and blow the smaller players away, but it does not work that way.

I counted Pendley as a freshman, but he is a transfer as well. Did not want to double count. Point is we have some talented people still learning real-time communications with the other four.

As a GT fan I have been on the other side, rooting for our undersized d-line to hold their own against big offensive lines. They have often done it, with quickness and grit. So hats off to the other guys. But our offensive line needs to become more than the sum of its parts, and I predict we will play better as the season wears on.

Last two years we had no depth, and we just had to hold the offensive and defensive lines together with bailing wire as the season wore on. Now we have depth, and we just have to incorporate it all together, so better as they play together.

How many yards do we need before they are any good? Good QB stats. Decent rushing stats against a team that ran clock. Vomit the proof out of your stupid mouth.
As a dedicated troll yourself who knows the drill, I assume you are engaging a negative nelly troll out of boredom. That is fine.

Our offensive line does some things well and some things not well. That is what I see. The diff between me and the trolls is I applaud them for the progress they have made while wanting more.

I still see good things coming. I just don't know if this is 1989 or 1988 yet.

decent rushing stats due to Gibbs missing tackles. Good QB stats due to poor KSU coverage.

Our OL didn't dominate the way they should've against a dismal HS team like KSU.
