I am concerned about the offensive line play. Both Mason and Gibbs got hit at the line of scrimmage multiple times. And Yates was under a lot of pressure (which by the way, he handled very well). Also saw Wyoming put up 50 on NIU.... Not sure what that means....Hopefully we can lose by only 14 next week??? CGC did nothing for me to think we can win 6 and make a bowl, we get a win agaisnt UNC and Pitt maybe I can get back on the Waffle house train.

We blew about 2-1/2 minutes of clock time in 1st half with 2 unused timeouts when we could’ve built a bigger lead. It’s just the same piss poor clock management with Collins.

Its never a tough day when GT wins. I'll be wrong any day of the week if that is all it takes.

But I have one eye on NIU to see if maybe they are way better than anyone thought and noticed that they lost to Wyoming yesterday. NIU plays at Michigan next week which will be interesting.

Kennesaw State should have no business sharing a field with Tech. I'll reserve judgment til Clemson. If we score double digits and hold them under 50 I will consider that a success
Exactly. Why the hell P5 teams still schedule FCS teams is beyond me. Christ, if you're going to play football, then play against like competition. Games against the likes of KSU are no win situations.

Congrats on us being on par with a MAC team.... another weird thread wherein certain posters on this board take the stance that posting anything critical of the team and skeptical of future performance constitutes being a bad fan.
I'll have the perfect Xmas gift suggestion for them soon.

I see JTS has caught a few flies in his web
JTS is very good at what he does, but his prey ain't nothing to write home about. JTS, keep up the good work. If nothing else, bitching back and forth is entertaining.

Those FCS teams need that check. That $350K (and sometimes as much as $500K) means a lot to those programs.
Those coaches know the odds are against them in those circumstances. Hell, most of the coaches of the really good teams, deep down, are OK with not winning that game as long as they don't get to banged up and still have a shot at making the FCS playoffs. I've told that story before, here and on TOS, about Bobby Johnson at Furman having just boatraced North Carolina (with a defense loaded with future NFL guys, including Julius Peppers) and whether he'd rather have a win like this over a name school or a national championship. He said national championship without taking a breath. I was stunned by the answer a little. I'd have thought beating an ACC school would have meant more, especially to a good FCS program that recruits the same geographical area. Nope.
sometimes those games are hard to get for FCS programs. Notre Dame does not and will not schedule FCS. They will play Toledo and almost get that ass beat, but they won't play FCS. PJ used to tell me he'd go to the coaches convention when he was at Southern and guys would start running away from him. He'd say, I just want to say hello, and they'd go, hello and hell no we're not playing you.
