I think the best that can be expected is to keep the negative stuff out of the recruiting threads. Fans will be fans.

Our meltdowns don't really get a lot of attention, honestly. Check out LSU, FSU, Miami boards, etc. Makes us look like polyannas and it never affects their recruiting.

If I were a recruit and came across this board, I wouldn't even consider playing for Tech.
Do you think the Ohio State boards are all sunshine and roses right now? Would you pass them up too or do you just hate Tech in particular?

True. But you would think that we would at least keep it to a minimum during the season and build up to early signing. In this age of social media, it will become a problem.

1) Coach Collins is the greatest coach in the history of coaches.
2) We're winning every single game from this point forward.
3) Every Tech football player will receive $Texas money from NIL.
4) Our defensive assistant coaches are the best in all of college football.
5) Our offensive assistant coaches are the best in all of college football.
6) There is no #6 *tee hee*
7) Every GT player is going to be drafted as the first overall pick in the next 78 NFL drafts.
8) We're winning a national championship this year.
9) We're winning it again next year.
10) And the year after...

Lol forums like this exist for every school you know? ..and this is quite tame in comparison to what u see for sec teams especially
So we should take a crap on the coaches and team because other team's fans take a crap on their coaches and teams? God in heaven ! I can't believe I actually went to school with some of yall.

I have never been a Collins fan and at times have been very vocal in my criticism. BUT, I also believe in giving credit where credit is due, and Collins and his staff had an excellent game plan Saturday, and the players on the team executed it to near perfection. We obviously won't see similar results against Clemson this week, but maybe the past Saturday was a big and beautiful beginning. GO JACKETS !!!

A message board like this one is for sharing thoughts with candor and occasionally humor with persons who share a similar interest, maybe even passion. To ask persons to refrain from any negative talk because it might harm recruiting is to destroy the very reason the board exists. If my history is somewhat accurate, I believe StingTalk was created when the Hive shut down criticism of the Gailey regime. First of all, negative reaction to losses, especially unexpected ones, is the norm on all message boards. It does not put you at a competitive disadvantage. Second, the message boards of a school being positive about the direction of a program when the program is not performing well on the field fools no one. We really overestimate our own importance if we believe recruiting decisions are affected by our remarks on these message boards.
