AT is listed at 6'3 231. Nick Rogers was 250 at most, and he was a former linebacker that brought a big-time pass rush. Morgan is going to be seeing more double teams.
Watching AT healthy, he played his best when he attacked the LOS.
With our other starting DE being Big Bob Hall or Peters(unless he moves to DT),we need AT coming off the edge on 3rd down and other obvious passing situations. He could gain 10 to 15 lb's and be a beast.
Thoughts?

AT will probably max out around 235-240.

He is a BEAST tho.

We are already looking good at DE.

Antonio Wilson is looking like a player in practice...and we already have Morgan, Hall, Peters, and Egbuniwe with some experience.

To top it off, we probably have Cross, Cummings, Crenshaw, and Dieke coming in this year.

Anything is possible...and AT definitely has the Gerris Wilkinson type of body to do it...but I doubt we will need it nor is it in his best interest long term.

I think AT needs a change . . .

. . . of position. He just has problems playing in space. I think he could bulk up about 15 pounds and move the DE and be much more effective as a pass rush specialist. I just don't think he has the instincts to be a great player at LB. I hope the coaches give him a look at DE.

Go Jackets!

Maybe I'm just a homer because I've followed A.T. since his junior year of high school, but he has been banged up all season. Remember how great he played last season? He had a ton of great plays, especially in the Clemson game last year.

A.T. was a QB/WR/Safety in high school. He has been bulked up quite a bit already. He has the instincts and that shows when he is healthy. Unfortunately once he finally got back on the field, he got injured again.
