SCCU Poinsettia Bowl

I don't see Boise dropping below us. They played a solid game, plus the voters won't remember squat by the time the vote comes around.

I disagree. If we beat LSU, I think that when it's all said an done they'll bump us up. I don't think "mid-major" teams have the sort of parachute that big conference teams do to stop the plummet after a loss.

+1

Paraphrasing:
Lou, what does this TCU win mean for BSU and the WAC in the context of BCS standings?

Lou: Well, I think it shows that both teams have a great program.

:wtf:
When I saw that he was doing commentary at the open of the game, I turned the volume low enough so that I couldn't hear him. I can't tolerate Holtz.

The complete guide to voting for the dumb voters from the AP voting rulebook:
If the team has lost a game since the previous vote, decrease the ranking adequately. Fill in the spaces with teams below that has won since the previous vote.

Provided we win, we got a decent chance to overtake them. If we rout LSU, we are guaranteed top ten.

+100 old men and some f'n teeth for the guy for Xmas!

i wrote a letter to ESPN once stating that i think it is a bad example to give Lou a job after he has brought NCAA sanctions to just about every program that he ever was the HC at. I never got a response, but Holtzth is a toolth

Holtz is like Musberger compared to those dip****s on Raycom. At least he knows the players names.

I enjoy Holtz, only because he is high comedy. Honestly though, if I wanted actual insightful commentary on a football game, I wouldn't get it from ESPN anyways. Plus, Mark May seems to despise Dr. Lou, so it's double prizes.

That's why I was pulling for BS. I figure TCU, with 3 losses, would definitely clear out some real estate for our rankings no matter who was voting. All that really matters is the BCS ranking, and that has some component of computer scoring, correct? So strength of sked will be taken somewhat into consideration... Even though BCS matches AP in terms of BS and TCU... Oh, wait, we're not supposed to be worrying or thinking about rankings. They'll take care of themselves. Frack. I forgot.

I have now witnessed sports-fan hell. It is Lou Holtz announcing a game while they scroll comments from the greatest mouth breathers of the ESPN nation across the top of the screen.

I still can't figure out why Gary Patterson hasn't been considered for some of these coaching openings. Going into our own search last year, he was my #2 choice behind PJ.

I once posted a thread about Patterson on this board and was ripped for suggesting that he was a good coach that someone should snap up, with nary a positive response.
