Patrick Nix out at Miami

Now there's a damn shame.

Any chance Miami hires someone equally incompetent to replace him?

Crap... that Miami team has the potential to be scary good in 2 years depending on who they hire for the OC. Mark it down... the 2010 GT-Miami game is gonna be epic.

Depending on who they hire, we probably shouldn't have to wait that long.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo</vader>

I just had a scary thought. John Bond still looking for employment? I don't like the idea of that man without restrictions and with a lot of speed.
Didn't Bill Curry hire John Bond to be OC-in-waiting at Ga State?

Maybe Chan has an urge to return to South Beach.

let it go, brother

chan is gone and he had good intentions, why keep pooping on the guy

after all, he would clearly leave his NFL OC position to come do it in college, after all he only did it in Pittsburgh, was a Head Coach in Dallas and then was the OC in Miami. Clearly, he is not able for the job.

give it a rest already with the easy snide remarks

Link on Miami board says that Robert Marve will probably also leave the program. When I watched UM, that kid has some serious wheels, and is a better QB than what he was able to show in the offense at Miami. It certainly made me think how he'd be a great addition at QB for us.

Maybe Patrick Nix could be a good insurance salesman, real estate agent or high school teacher. I just can't see any appeal for a head coach to hire him as OC. If I had his job at GT or Miami, I would try to learn what good OC's did and how to manage the clock. Did he ever get "it"? I never saw it - the ACC championship game was pathetic from the OC standpoint.

Is anyone impressed with Randy Shannon? He seems like part of Miami's problem. I don't really follow them, but they didn't look that great when I saw them. I am not sure it was all "Nix".

With Nix leaving he may reconsider. After all, he has already red-shirted once. If he wants to play next year he'd have to play I-AA.
