6 Losses by 11 points or less…

The level of "improvement" we've seen from year 1 to year 3 is what you'd hope to see from the beginning of a season to the end of it, not over several seasons.

No one can seriously claim that when CGC was hired they'd be satisfied with three straight 3-win seasons.

Not in the ACC - VPI, UM, UVA, BC, while not awful football teams, are teams that Collins’ Jackets should be able to beat in year 3.

VPI, UM and BC are absolutely awful teams. VPI fired their coach and UM probably will in December. BC we played was worse than both of those teams.

His logic is unquestioned and analysis enlightened. When next week is over we will have lost three games by 7 points or less, three games by 8 to 14 points, and three by more than 20 points. If you can’t see the progress in three wins, three close losses, three losses by between one and two touchdowns, and only three blowout losses, then you simply refuse to see what a great job Collins is doing. The greatest rebuild ever is going far better than I could have imagined. Fire him? He deserves a statue on YellowJacket Plaza.

This is what bothers me most about this coaching staff. There’s been no in-season progress three years straight.

Ok genius…..why is CJP still here then?
Here ya go.

Man, 4 one score losses.

NIU - painful and should have been a walk off win

Clemson - reeling with a terrible QB. Once in a lifetime safety with seconds remaining.

UVa - multiple recovered onside kicks - not sure I’ve seen that before

Miami - Defense scores 9, offense needed only a single FG in 11 positions

That is it for the single score loses. Literally the first time I have seen consecutive onside kicks recovered and a safety on a teams last possession in 40 years of watching football. Lady luck has been on our side this year.

I do have to hand it to @jts1207. Seeing how he's going to spin the latest chapter in the worst 3-year stretch of Tech football in over 40 years is the most entertaining thing we have on the football forum each week.
I feel like he thinks he’s Rambo, but he just looks like some meth head in the middle of the street shooting nerf guns at random passerbys.

Nah….you all sucked off the bball coach forever and then after 3 years what happened….probation :lol2:

After 3 years he didn’t have a season under .400, and he had a winning season in his first season… crazy how that works. You win you stay…
