Nobody can take away the feeling that you had watching the second half in Athens.![]()
Ugay fans would say it was just one bad quarter.
Can't say I'm feeling too proud tonight. It's one thing to get beat. It's quite another thing to have a game like tonight on the national stage in front of the biggest GT fan turnout of the year.
I'm certainly not ashamed. This under-manned team put up 9 wins including UGA. It has 19 starters returning. It over achieved using a new system and new coaching staff. It was defeated tonight by superior athletes, trickery and mistakes. It never gave up. And it has a coach who hurt more deeply than any of us about the loss.
Well I know I learned a LESSON--never again will I be so BLINDLY optomistic about a "SURE" win (IMHO)--I feel like I have been run over by a semi (no, I didn't get a tag # but a CAJUN was drving)!! NEVER, never again will I feel "IT'S IN THE BAG"--:FIREdevil:I think CPJ has just been handed the toughest lesson of his coaching career.
And I think Georgia Tech will be the beneficiary for years to come.
