Our defense was horrible last night!!

Again, NO ONE is saying it is all on the defense, BUT, the defense was lousy the 1st half and thus the game was out of reach at halftime. You have been there from the start taking up for our defense this year, I give you credit for that. The fact still is, I don't care how good we become on offense, we will never win a MNC if our defense is not much better than it was this year. Oklahoma and UF both play great defense to go along with their great offenses, just saying we will have to improve a lot on defense to win a MNC..I'm convinced PJ. will have this offense clicking on all cylinders next year but REAL concerned about our defense.

Well, if you're looking for a MNC you need to wait a few years...we're nowhere near that level, either talent wise or with our ability to do what the coaches have in mind. We aren't good enough on offense to win a MNC either. Oh, and you must have me confused with someone else because I can't recal taking up for the D in particular this season.

I think a big part of the issue we're having is that people mentioning us in the same breath with OU and UF are simply crazy. As much as I love Tech, we're nowhere close to the top programs, yet.

PJ said on the post game radio with Wes, that we were nowhere near as good as a lot of people were touting. And yes, I agree we are 2 years off competing for a mnc. I thought before last night we could be pre-season top 10 and at least have a chance, but i don't feel that way now. Here's hoping in 2 years maybe.
