Apparently our coach was on TV talking about how he was disappointed we weren't playing a ranked opponent. That's relatively embarrassing.

Especially considering they kicked our asses.

So did you see/hear it or did you just pick up on the LSU thread?

Where was this said? I never heard anything about it and it doesn't sound like CPJ. On the contrary, that would make two things that were rumored to have been said by CPJ that sounded nothing like him.

Until I see someone substantiate this with evidence, I will continue to believe that Les Miles made this up as a motivational tool for his players.

I heard it from two unaffiliated people.

Not saying it's true, because I was at the game...so I wouldn't have seen TV stuff.

I was at the game, and then watched the recording. Never heard any of this.

We *all* saw D-bag Miles call the fake punt.

Paul Johnson did not say this. Until I hear it myself, I do not believe it.

I'm still disgusted about the game... hopefully by March I'll leave it behind and start looking forward to next year. :ugh:

Really random how I know this, but LM used PJ's mantra of "good teams don't lose two games in a row" to motivate his team, claiming that PJ said that teams that lose two games basically suck and aren't worth anything.
So I guess its possible he might not have made it up, but rather completely twisted some small comment PJ made.

I don't give a crap what some other coach says PJ says.

TOTAL BS.

I watched the weekly show with Wes and CPJ.

CPJ stated how LSU was even more athletic than UGA was and that we would have our hands full.

If Les Miles contrived this ... well...good for him...cause it worked.

BUT. Disobeying one of the ten commandents does send you to hell, so be it.

I think Miles booked his first class ticket to Hell quite a while ago.

I don't know about you, my friend, but I'm gettin drunk and postin all my sorrows/rants this evening...

THEN...I"ll be ready for the (hopeful) Falcons run to the Super Bowl.

How freaking cool would that be??????

Falcons in the Super Bowl and Tech beating UGAg in the same year? 1998 repeat of sorts! IT'S STILL IN THE CARDS, MAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if CPJ said it. But I'll admit to thinking it about 4 weeks ago. I'm not going to go dig, but I probably posted as much.

Of course, I'm eating crow now. C'est la vie.

I heard from two sources that he also insulted their mothers.

Fortunately, our coach is a bit smarter than we the Tech faithful. Though he is honest and doesn't use a lot of coachspeak, he's not a dimwit. He at least tries to be somewhat diplomatic. A statement like that, IMO, would be apart from PJ's character. He'll tell the truth but he won't make a fool out of himself.

Yeah, this thread has 480 views and not one has confirmed this story. It seems suspicious nobody else would have heard this comment.
