What the hell does a free pass even mean? Did you read the AJC today? Sugura or whatever his name is clarified what he was trying to say about bowl prep. Tech did not slack off, they just didn't make it a mini spring practice and give non playing guys extra reps. We worked just the way we did before the ugag game. He basically apologizes for giving the impression that is was some kind of vacation.
Yes we got our butts handed to us. It's not okay and it's not fun but it happens sometimes. More than likely it was a young team paying attention to places like this board where people were talking about how good they are, not something the coaches didn't do.
The point people are trying to make to you, is that it's fine to be pissed off about a loss. I guarantee everyone on this board was. But there's a point where having a clue what you are talking about helps and pointless ramblings about "not giving someone a pass" is just stupid.

There is a thread on here somewhere where someone said he deserves a free pass for this game because he beat UGA.

If you would have told me after our spring game that we would lose 38-3 to LSU in a bowl game. I would have have been pumped as hell that we were good enough to play the MNChamps in a bowl game. Lets not crucify CPJ after one bad loss.
-LSU was physically superior.
-We had a snowball game, everything that could go wrong did and it turned into an avalanche.
-CPJ made some "questionable" calls.
-GT did not execute.
-LSU did execute.
I think the only thing CPJ really learned was to recruit better and run fake punts to faster players.

That's what I want to know. WTF, does a free pass mean? We are not going to fire you this year, but you better watch it? Sure I will criticize him, especially for the fake punt stuff down 21-3, but I am not going to disregard the rest of the season and call the season ruined as Mr. Paintball has done

45-42. I'm happy. In fact, I would gladly take the outcome of this season, or something close to it, each and every year, because it included a win over UGA.

After such a great season, it's disappointing to see such in-fighting amongst us. Even though it is only a few that are unsatisfied, I thought this kind of season, especially with a win over UGA, was one that could bring the Tech community together.

Paintballer would say, Reg Season A+, Bowl F equals F for overall. Must be that new math.

My point is you can't very well make a post about getting outcoached, then post about how sad it is the fanbase is in an uproar. If you think he was outcoached, fire away. But don't be surprised when things get hairy on the board.
