Jamious Griffin gone…

This hurts, but not totally unexpected. Never got enough play time {yeah i know the reasons} but that eats at a player. Good luck to him going forward.

Is Griffin thinking he's gonna find a better situation? He doesn't have the negotiating position of Juanyeh or Gibbs. He's probably in the best place he'll find already. Just like Yates.

Edit: If no other teams bite, or he doesn't get a better fit, does he have the option of staying? How does that work?

Yates wants PT, so I doubt he minds transferring down a level. May not be the case for Jamious.

If he wanted to stay after going in the portal, it would be up to the staff. We could take him back, but we are not obligated to because by then, we may have given his spot to someone else.

Im always caught between the two schools of thought of "if your heart isn't in it and you don't think you can give your best effort, then leave" and "man the öööö up".

Either way, I wish the young man good luck wherever he ends up.

Ehh. Portal turnover makes it harder to get into college football. 50% new roster every year? How many kids will start and finishes their eligibility at GT. 3 or 4 out of a 25 man recruiting class?

Basically, Tod and Gef ööööed around and found out. Three years of sucking ass and not doing anything before making a couple of half ass staff moves is resulting in anyone worth a damn quitting and/or transferring. A+ guys.
could not agree with this more

So our best RB transferred because he’s too good. Our 2nd best RB transferred because he’s had enough punishment. Our 4th best RB transferred because he didn’t play, but was going to play. And they are all RBI til they die?

I don’t blame him one bit. Collins used him for a splash during that first recruiting cycle then crickets. Griffin may just be leaving on principle. That happens when kids grow into being a man. And all this talk of touches next year, come on. Who wants to be brutalized game after game.

Sounds like Choice might be gone too

I hope not; but it is starting to get that vibe. I guess with a new OC coming in CTC doesn't have that loving feeling. It could also be that they simply don't want to run behind the OL they see coming in 2022. I would assume the whole RB group talked about it.

It is basically what killed my interest in college basketball.

This is not good. In stating the obvious, we have problems. It’s going to be a tough 10-12 months.

As opposed to the last 3 years? Almost numb to it at this point.

Going to take a miracle for Geoff and Todd to not get canned next season. And then what, another 3 years before evaluating the new staff? So, giving up almost a whole decade. öööö
