My guess is he will end up a 4* at best. If he committed to a football factory school he might be 5*.
Yeah, a commit for us would have to be previously rated 5* before committing. An early commitment to GT would probably not be condusive to getting rated 5*. This is not necessarily only an indictment of GT but usually when a guy commits early it has some limiting effects on how much he is scouted and recruited by other schools.
By the way to the original question... I think Denzel McCoy is a good choice. I would also say that Conner Shaw and Anthony Williams are good picks to take the honor of first commit for 2010.
Are there any more Cox's in the pipeline?

I would not be shocked to have Connor Shaw commit (also offered by Stanford)...or even Ryan Ayers (no offer yet, but will likely get one Jan. 31
Why does Connor Shaw have an offer? It's my understanding that we're only going to have 9 or 10 scholarships to give next year, 12-13 at the most. Is he that much better than Jaybo to warrant an offer? I honestly don't know.

I think your total number of scholarships is low for next year. I think the number we are going to start with for next year will be 15-16. I would not be surprised if we sign somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 in February 2010.

Wow, then who's leaving? Right now we don't have many openings.
Regarding connor Shaw, we've taken half his high school, how could we forget him now? From what I understand he is a good athlete, but if we have any carryover success in recruiting for next year, 3 star athletes will be left behind.
