A lot of you seem to think Tebow will not do well in the NFL.

Soooo, how about a list of guys already in the league??

1. David Garrard - Can't throw. Runs for it on 3rd down all the time. And he's small.

2. Tarvaris Jackson - Tebow can actually pass better than this guy. He was 0-8 to end the game last week vs. Philly.

3.

4.

5.....

Got more?

All the Tebow love and the Tebow talk.

feels like a Gators forum.

Tom Brady

Tebow had more passing yards, more rushing yards, and more TD's. He did throw 4 more INT's, but his TD-INT ratio was better than Brady too.

:laugher: I am sure hoping this is sarcasm. As for the OP, you have to be drinking the Gator-ade (get it ... wink wink) to think that Tebow can be a decent starter in the NFL. He is a great guy and I would like my kids to look up to him as a role model, but he is not a great NFL caliber QB. He is an excellent football player and an excellent college QB, but I don't see him doing well in the NFL.

TJack >>>>> Tebox

Garrard is too

If you want to count Ken Dorsey that's the only one I would list.

Ken Dorsey/Derek Anderson/Brady Quinn
John Kitna/Daunte Culpepper
Alex Smith
Jamarcus Russell
Kyle Orton/Rex Grossman
Terrance Edwards

.....all unless they are playing the Lions and Tebow is playing anyone else. I guess this puts Kitna / Culpepper at the bottom of the list.

This dude is going to surprise everyone in the pros. Just you wait.

probably referring to Brady's stats this "season"

You also hear about High School QB's who throw for 2500 yards and run for 1000 yards and score a ridiculous number of touchdowns....

How often do that keep doing that in CFB
(I know they do well but not that well)

This post is chock full of fail. The only ones even close are Ken Dorsey (who isn't really a starter), Daunte (not a starter), Alex Smith (who isn't a starter) and Terrence Edwards (who is a wide receiver in the CFL, wtf?). And if you mean Trent Edwards with the last one then you actually saved yourself from being even wronger by saying Terrence.

+1 I think some of you do not watch the College Retirement League, as avidly as others of us on here.

OP didn't specify starters, just people currently playing QB in the NFL. Presumably, if you can play better than someone in the league, even holding a clipboard, then you can also play in the league.

P.S.
Tebow is too good a player just to hold a clipboard at any position. He'll get on the field at some other position rather than be a perennial backup.

I'm among those who thinks he will make it at QB. But, if not he would make a great emergency QB to save a team from needing to carry three full time QBs.

Tebow might not be the best NFL style QB in the world right now but thats why its good that he has another season to conform. If he seriously wants to play QB in the NFL he needs to lose some bulk (how many NFL QBs can bench 400?), work on his already good accuracy, develop an explosive rocket pass, and get Urban Meyer to run a more NFL style offense (at least sometimes). This will really have NFL scouts re-evaluating Tebow and if he retains his dangerous run ability he COULD become one of the best NFL QBs in history. There is no question that this kid knows football inside-out. Needless to say he has his work cut out for him but he may just be looking at Heisman #2 next season.

Ok, Tebow could start right now for the Lions or the Chiefs. Anyone who doesn't agree with me is a moron.

Well then go ahead and color me moron, because until the bounce pass is legalized in football he's going to get worked hard once every other team has the same talent he does.

If you don't think Tebow could start for the Lions, then you haven't watched Lions football this year.

Alex Smith.

Yeah, I just won the thread.

I don't know, Tebow reminds me of Heath Shuler from UT. He's big and powerful for a college QB, but NFL LBs will punish any QB who won't slide or run out of bounds.

With Tebow's accuracy, he ought to be a 47% passer in a Chan Gailey offense.

Geori, I think you have not seen any Lions football this year. Kitna was their starting QB, but got injured -- Kitna >> Tebow in all comparisons. Secondly, the problem was not Stanton or Orlovsky, but the whole damn team other than Calvin. The league's worst defense (by any category you wish to name, 3rd worst rushing team, and 2nd worst in sacks allowed. I am sorry, but if QB is not the area of most concern on that team.
