Its on..

Wow, I remember Pittsburgh as being a great city and a fun town to go to (watching braves and playing there myself) Great fans, somewhat obnoxious but name one team whose fans aren't. Philly, I have only been there twice and we stayed across the river so besides the old stadium and how bad the field sucked that's all I really know about them.

Tennessee Titans fans were quite lovely actually. Baltimore fans were ranked the best a few years ago (knowledge, cleanliness, etc.).

Pittsburgh is known for waving around a dirty smelly stinky, what used to look like YELLOW towel. Czar thinks Pitt wears white and gold. Good Golly Man, know you're own team. That's yellow, really old unwashed yellow with snot, sweat, underarm spray (if you're lucky) and who knows what else the fan needed a towel for in those bathrooms in Pittsburgh that run out of toilet paper.

Actually I am very worried since we had three major injuries last week. When Rolle went out against Pittsburgh the last game, they went right down the field and ALMOST scored to win. He's probably out again and we'll have no starting CB's playing. That could be trouble.

But Pitts thinks they can run again with Parker back. Not happening against the Ravens defense.

I, for one, have neither forgotten nor forgiven Hines Ward's celebration at BDS. I will not cheer for Steelers.

yeah, after we streak Hines and Holmes down the sidelines b/c you have weak CBs for the game, you will have to adjust and Parker will start finding some running lanes. count on it

besides, the Ravens will be so demoralized from getting dirty, smelly, rotten yellow Terrible Towels rubbed in their faces and realizing that they will never be but at best the 2nd best defense in the league, that they will probably give up and move to another city again...

Pittsburgh Mayor Changes Name From Ravenstahl To 'Steeler'stahl

Wednesday, January 14, 2009 – updated: 2:35 pm EST January 14, 2009

PITTSBURGH -- Bye-bye Luke Ravenstahl and hello Luke Steelerstahl.
With the AFC Championship game between the Steelers and Ravens on Sunday, Mayor Luke “Raven”stahl doesn’t want to be mistaken for a Baltimore sympathizer.

Congrats To Pitts on being the #1 defense. Baltimore and Pitts played the same schedule. For most of the season, Baltimore's offense was tightened up because of a rookie quarterback, rookie runningback, rookie runningback and the youngest OL in the league. So in reality, Pitts defense was slightly better than Baltimore's because they got to play Baltimore's offense twice. So in reality, just like UGA's title in 1980 (where Tech took out ND), my team actually made it happen for your team. So once again, the Ravens own you.

And the all time defensive year is owned by the Ravens.

p.s. Tennessee threw the ball downfield exactly once against the Ravens and Ed Reed. In 22F weather, will Rothlesburger float a few for us to return?

if by "us" you mean you and your cousin Ed, then maybe, since you dont have any real players to play those positions left. Hines took them all out with blind-side hits...

and it works 2 way, Baltiless played two games against the Steelers, which ruined their chances of getting the top defensive spot because they couldnt stop them.

Cold is not really a problem, but not having players is. Look for Ray Lewis to retire after realizing they will never get past the Steelers in this era

Wow, you should have heard the Titans fans last week in Nashville. They are virtually begging for Ray to retire; they know he is the man. (by the way, the mighty traveling Steelers: Last week Nashville fans said they'd never seen anything like how the Ravens fans took over the city. It was pretty wild I must admit. They said it dwarfed the Steelers in town just two weeks earlier.)

This could be Ray's last year in Baltimore, but I don't think he's retiring yet.

How's your quarterback doing? His head is so big he couldn't get it into a helmet last week. After Sunday night, he won't be able to get the helmet off. Hell, Hiines Ward might even hit him (after the whistle of course).

LOL! good trash talking, mid, of course that is really all you Ravens guy have.

I understand the crazy fan base, after all it has been nearly a lifetime since that franchise even sniffed a championship and Baltimore as a whole doesnt really have a winning tradition, well except for Homicide: Life on the Streets

Geez, how old are you? The Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV. What are we up to now? (You can use your fingers if you need to, no toes required.)

Hey stop disrespecting our homicide rate! We're not #1 in that but we try harder! WE'RE #1 in teenage pregnancy though!!!!

I'll be back after I check the Thursday injury report

oh, that game was so boring, i forgot it. ok, ill acknowledge that the Ravens won a Super Bowl, but for someone who supports a team that has won 5, the 1 kinda gets lost in the shuffle.

Question: any people left in Baltimore that support the Colts?

evened up? oh, yeah Polamalu is better than all those guys together, that makes it more even

but i say the Ravens still win the "faking injured so i dont get embarrassed" game

Baltimore has won five championships too I believe.

Nobody supports the Indy Colts if that's what you mean.

Polamalu "FULL PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICE". You have nobody injured at all. We have 12 starters hurt; a handful are really hurt and key (Mason, Rolle, Suggs, McClain, Barnes).

It's even now. We haven't played you healthy all year and each game came down to the last play.

p.s. Baltimore played and won The Greatest Game Ever Played.

not true, Baltimore teams have been in 3 super bowls, they won twice and lost once

the Colts lost famously to Namath's Jets in SB III in 1969
and won in SB V over the Cowboys (thanks from a Steelers fan) in 1971

The Raven won in SB XXXV in 2001.
the Browns (pre-Baltimore) never went.

Since championships are won by franchises and not by cities, the Ravens/Browns franchise has been in EXACTLY ONE Super Bowl and won it. at least you have a good winning percentage

the Steeler have won 5 and have lost 1, so 5-1

not really a close contest in that department
