Best arm: I would go with aycock over luallen here. Aycocks passing is good.

Fastest: david sims. He's a blazer.

Most athletic: sims again. He can play qb, a back, cb, or safety.

Leadership: luallen. His teammates love him.

Best chance to play right away: at qb its aycock. But sims will be on the field somewhere.

Most likely to change positions: dalcourt.

Luallen- is a good fit for our system. He runs it in high school. Has good speed. He's tall but a little thin.

Aycock- he is the PERFECT qb for the option. Like luallen he runs this offense in high school. Has set a ton of records in fla. He has a very good body build. He has been told that he is our number 1 target.

Sims- committed to uk awhile back. After that pj was main recruiter and he committed to us. Very athletic has a ton of potential.

Dalcourt- not committed to anybody he has offers at qb from other schools. He is a athletic raw talent.

Well I really hope we get aycock to commit this weekend. Thoughts?

I believe he has decided to stay closer to home or whatever school his girlfriend goes to. That is the word on the street anyway.

Best arm: Sims

Fastest: Aycock, no competition..

Most Athletic: Sims

Leadership: Luallen

Best chance to play right away: Aycock

Dalcourt is probably not coming to GT. If I was a betting man, I'd bet against it.

What's the story with Aycock? I haven't heard that he has officially committed. Are we a lock to get him and is in fact going to play QB?

Just the few highlights I saw, he looked more athletic and a better arm than JL. Helluva lot thicker/stronger looking too.

I really think that Sims will be our starter (in the future) and Aycock will be an Aback or Bback...he is just that dynamic. He can play so many positions on the offensive side of the ball.

Also, Sims can also play running back and Safety.

So we have some versatile players that can do many things. CPJ has to be licking his chops waiting to use these guys..

Sims: Most elusive, runs with power, has a strong arm. Hard to tell about accuracy at this point. This guy is the most evenly balanced in terms of a dual threat in my opinion. College ready body, but no experience running triple from under center, just like Nesbitt.

Luallen: Ran wing T in High School, which is very different from the triple. Above avg arm strength + excellent accuracy. Likely the best passing QB the moment he steps on campus (or tie with Josh, who may surprise you once he has time/develops/and we practice passing more). Athletic enough to run the triple, and if he fills out, could be tough to bring down. Body may not be college ready as 6-3 195 is kind of skinny.

Aycock: Tough runner with power quickness and some moves, shortest QB at 5-10, ran a version of the offense in HS, and has a college ready body. Not as much zip on his ball as other QBs, but if he's good enough to hit an open reciever he has the potential to be a lethal running QB. Otherwise he could play AB or BB imo.

I think we've seen the best that Josh has to offer as a passing QB. He's fine athlete but a thrower of a football? Next!!!!

That's just silly. Josh may not be a all star caliber passer but he can do better than last year. Hell, Reggie had better completion percentages some years.

I just hope that we manage to get through a recruiting class without having the majority of the QBs transfer.

Nesbitt was a prolific passer in HS. Give him time to learn this off season.

Huh? Why would they?

Not saying they would. Just spent a little time the other day going through old recruiting classes on Scout and noticed that we lost QBs like it was our job for a while there up to and including 2007 when Steven Threet left.
