Dontae Aycock, a quarterback for Chamberlain High in Tampa, Fla., described his official visit to Georgia Tech this weekend a success.
“I would give it a 10 rating,” he told GoJackets.com. “It went that well.”
Aycock, whose host was Anthony Allen, had an opportunity to meet with Tech coach Paul Johnson.
“He told me that he really wanted me at Georgia Tech and how much he thinks I can add to making the team that much better in the future,” Aycock said.
“He said he was recruiting me as a quarterback and that he feels I can add a lot to the position if I came to Tech. I really liked him a lot as he made me feel wanted.”
Aycock said he plans to wait until signing day on Feb. 4 to announce his decision.
“I have two schools that I am considering, in Georgia Tech and Louisville and possibly a third in Illinois. I went to Louisville on a visit two weeks ago and I liked that visit too.
“I can’t say right now I have a leader.”
I like how we have Allen, a Louisville transfer, hosting the visit for a guy who is deciding between us and them. Smart move.
I wonder how much he asked Anthony Allen about Louisville.
He is going to wait until signing day to make his decision.
(Feb 5) I think.
