Its on..

This is the single most offensive thing I have ever read on this board. If I was a mod, I would ban you for life. Maybe you'd like to go punch my grandmother or urinate on the American flag. People like you are the reason that we're not winning the war on terror. Any and all arguments you have made or will ever make on this board will now be functionally replaced by the sounds of puppies playing, which is the only way to correct this egregious affront to all that is good and pure.

there goes my last friend.

Sorry to make this a uniform color thread but if you look at every major university you will see very distinct changes in their uniform color over the decades. Clothes change because of fashion and technology (synthetic old gold just doesn't look like cotton old gold) and almost every football team has adapted. So did the Steelers obviously (from gold to yellow).

Teams also learned to adapt their colors to what looked best on television since of course it is the most powerful medium today to sell your school. Go look at the Volunteers and tell me they didn't change their orange. Or Clemson, Or UGA Or just about anybody. Good luck on your endeavor.

ill still be your friend, midatlantech; btw, one of my good friends (also a Steelers fan) lives in Baltimore and his son is a Ravens fan. so it was a hard weekend for him where he had to console his son, but inside he was happy about it!

if you ask people what colors GT are, they will tell you gold and black. go ask and see

and Hines is not my favorite player, although i think he is a great player and a great guy to have on your team

so you dont like the Falcons b/c they wear red and black? you also dont like red ferraris b/c of some idiots to the NE?

dont play blackjack, thats half Georgie colors.

why would you let them dictate to you what it is you can enjoy?

Most people I know think it's blue and gold.

I'm not going to lie, the Falcons really mess with my head. Do I wear red to a game? What if my shoes are black..then I'm wearing Red and Black. Aggghhh...

that might be truer now, in my days we would have black on all of our uniforms it seemed, so it was natural from some to associate us with that

i never see the black anymore, we have effectively killed it seemingly

Yes, for a while (Curry) we were almost true yellow jackets: football wore black all the time and the band wore yellow! The shakers were yellow, we were definitely headed towards "Steelers gold" instead of gold.

Now we've gone too far and have gone to old mustard.

in between we went with the "vegas gold"

it is interesting how all of the following universities claim "old gold" and how different the interpretation for uniforms is...

In the U.S., old gold is widely used as one of the two color symbols for colleges and universities (notably Texas State University, Purdue University, East Tennessee State University, Georgia Tech, the University of Iowa, Vanderbilt University, the University of Tulsa, Wake Forest University, East Carolina University, Oakland University, Wofford College, West Virginia University, and University of Wisconsin-Superior).

Apparently, us, Purdue, Iowa, Vandy, Tulsa and Wake all have the same Old Gold color.. huh?

you prefer Leonard Pope? he plays for the Cardinals.
I hope Pope and Ward run into each other in the first play of the game and are injured out for the rest of the game. (yes I know they are both on offense)
