Yet another preseason ranking

Hmmm.
Ole Miss will lose 3 or 4 games next year.
Auburn will lose 4 or more games next year.
Kansas will lose 4 games next year.
Clemson is a big question mark also.
So is GT however.

But it's nice to start at the top instead of at the bottom. And all the off season recruits get to see our name in all the magazines, ESPN, etc since only the Top 25 are covered anymore.

This is where I think all of us wouldn't mind starting the season EVERY year.

Two reasons:

1. It becomes more plausible to make it to the NC w/out controversy (see 1990).

2. If the NC slips out of your hands (does for 99.5% of all teams), then this preseason ranking makes it much easier to finish out the year in the Top 25.

on a side note....
STOP RANKING NOTRE DAME!!!!

THEY SUCK!!

I don't know if Ole Miss will lose 3 or 4 games. They don't have UF next season. And the teams they do have are welcoming new coaches or have questions. Bama may be the best team on their schedule, and they didn't impress me at the end. Ranking Auburn to me is big gamble. Plus, the Irish at 11? Please...

Interesting on Ole Miss, but Notre Dame is pretty easy to rank next year. They just don't play a difficult schedule next year after USC.

I think the more dangerous team for Ole Miss will be LSU. They probably won't suck as bad as this year plus they supposedly bringing in the #1 recruiting class (but then again so did UM)

GT at #10... Looks like the media is starting to get on the bandwagon:

I saw an article somewhere talking about a up and coming GT bandwagon. Seems like this is going to be a pattern here.

Also, I have to disagree with that comment on Georgia. Something tells me that injuries not being there would equal wins over Alabama and Florida, maybe over us. However, I'd say we were worse for injuries then they were. At one point injuries to QB and O line could have been the difference between winning the Coastal and not (aka UNC).

WTF?? No way UGA beats UF or Alabama or GT even if they were healthy. Every team has injuries.

I will say that had Tebow not been injured in 07 then ugag would have lost that game.

but the a$$ whippin ugag took at the hands of ala and uf this year seemed to have little to do with injuries.

I'll bet anyone right now that LSU makes the SEC CG next season. They had alot of screwy things happen last year and never got any decent QB play. I think they fixed that.

Honestly, in a few places we were quite over matched in that game. Like ncjacket said, they had a lot of screwy things happen but still had the talent and perhaps even the ability to be a top 5 team. That's why despite the win they were still a disappointment.

Yet we'll keep hearing about UGA's all off-season.
We started the year with 70 players on ship. That is like 15 season ending injuries out of the gate.
We were missing Jahi, Vance, Sed, Reese and AT got hurt during the game. Our All-ACC LT was out, our starting RT was out. We had a freaking tightend playing RT, and our QB was on two bum ankles.
We can play the injury game too, but our fans realize it's just part of the game, not an excuse.
