These Superbowl Refs are awful...

Warner was getting hit on every single pass play. And he still almost brought them back to victory. The only poor pass was the one returned for a td, but I was impressed that he did as much as he did considering he was hit every single pass play. Someone that should grow some stones are his OL.

How did they miss Warner getting tackled on that INT return by Harrison? It was flagrant, and right by the ball.

Eh, who cares? It was one of the best SB's I've seen from an interest standpoint.

Listen, my former teammate was a coach on a KW team. He spent 3 years with him on the offensive side of the ball. I will not go in to story's but I'm glad y'all get a glimpse of the Hollywood version of Pro Athletes. I speak from someone who is a dear friend of mine. It's easy too show fight when your running up and down the field and plays are going for you, from experience I kinda like to see what you do when something bad happens.

Your comment on taking Kurt over Jim everyday? That's OK, you would be on the losing end of that battle everyday!

Well, when it comes to Superbowl's Jim was. He got blown out in 3 of them and Norwood missed the kick in 1990. Warner won one and kept the other two close even putting together a brilliant 4th quarter effort last night after things went very bad for him in the 1st half.

When it comes to gumption and balls, Warner has shown more than anyone. And when he walks off the field he is truly a gentlemen of the game with his comments complimenting the other team on their efforts.

I think you are really reaching because your friend didn't like Warner. Maybe he would have been more comfortable with a guy with a pedigree who went to a factory college and was a first round pick. Afterall, Warner's success flies in the face of the "Hollywood" types that have typically manned the QB position.

Dude you just need to shut up.

As a word to the wise, ncjacket and I agree on this one, paintballer. As John Wayne said to a fiery kid in one of his movies, "If you won't learn to respect your elders, perhaps I can teach you to respect your betters."

JD is one of our betters and ought to have our respect.

Roid Rage

Nasty. Dominance. Mean. What the Falcons need.

You guys are ridiculous. The game wasn't THAT poorly officiated. Hell, I was rooting for the Cards just so that Tech could figuratively beat UGA. (Whisenhunt beats Ward)
Agree. Thought the officials were not only NOT BAD, I thought they were very good. They got every replay right (which, we should know as ACC fans, isn't always a slam dunk) and even though there may have been more calls for the Steelers there were none that were aggregiously bad.

Oh yes, please let me grovel for forgiveness because I disagree with someone

What a joke.

The refs were pretty bad last night. Felt like I was watching a Duke game.

you guys are total losers. what an excellent game by both teams and you are trying to blame the refs
F you!

Warner is a puss. Harrison is a beast. The Steelers are the best

GSU is a puss. JD is a man.

the Steelers are the greast franchise in sports history!

Disagreeing is not calling someone an absolute ****ing moron, which is what was your first statement in this "disagreement." That is disrespecting. But hey, civility apparently is a lost art these days.

BuzzCzar,

Thought the game was great except for the PF Harrison got -- lost some respect for the guy there -- and agreed with Madden. Feel he should have been the MVP except for that foul. That was a 10 or 14 point swing his INT return.

+1

But some can't blame it on youth.

Number 81 for the Cardinals cost them that game. It was not a bad pass like the annoucers said. On the replay, 81 backs away giving Harrison the interception. You never give the defense the inside putting them between you and a short pass. Had 81 kept on his route, he would have either had a TD or gotten a pass interference call.

Amazing run by Harrison though.

Was the interception a mistake by Warner or exceptional anticipation by the Pittsburgh defense?

I really don't see how Warner could be expected to see Harrison in such a quick play. So I assume Pittsburgh was waiting for that exact play.

Also just saw a replay where Harrison go an assist by Rolle from the Cardinals on the sideline. Fitzgerald was closing and got blocked by Rolle standing in the way watching the play. If he isn't there then Fitzgerald likely would have tackled Harrison short of the goal and the half is over.

i agree, that was too much to hit that guy again.

i thought that the Harrison was going to get there in time to cause a fumble on that play that was finally ruled an incomplete pass. warner did well to hold onto that ball and act like he was passing. it should have been intentional grounding though, why not? not outside the tackle box, pass not past the line of scrimmage, no eligible guy in the area. Intentional grounding.

anyway, what a great game! Harrison will probably be making that foul up to Tomlin...

and btw, the only Tech player to play in the game... Keyaron Fox for the Super Bowl winning STEELERS...

Dick Lebeau outsmarted the dumb guy with the quick release. that is all. it looked like Harrison was coming but dropped back and neither the WR adjusted the route nor did Warner adjust the pass.

the immaculate reception and now the immaculate interception

Me and mover go back. This isn't the first time we've gone down. I find it absolutely asinine that the character and drive of a man who put his team in a position to win would be questioned. If that doesn't strike you as moronic, then you are a more understanding man than I.
