the guy did make it to the league FWIW so he probably is someone to listen to in regards to football career advice.In fact i would value his opinion on how to do so over 99.9% of the internet posters (with the fridgemover being in the other .1%.)

If we were talking about advice on how to better condition yourself, increase your chances of playing time, etc. then I would agree. But we're talking about decision-making, and he hasn't really done anything that proves he's capable of making good decisions.

Playing is his best path the the NFL. The question is whether he has a better shot to see significant playing time at GT or at Auburn. We'll see. But my point is Dwight Smith has no idea.

Excellent point.
Dontae was one of 4 RB's signed last Wednesday by Auburn. Additionally, one of the two "athletes" signed has indicated he will start at TB first before deciding to whether or not to move to CB.

The majority of high school seniors don't consider the fact that they may not be the best back on the team. For most of these guys, and Dontae is no exception, they have been so head-and-shoulders above everyone else at every level they have ever played at that the concept of not being the best is fairly alien to them.
When I graduated from high school, I thought I was pretty dang smart. Then I got to Tech....
