Is this a joke? WTF!

They have the easiest schedule and they still get all the breaks their way?

North Carolina
Sept. 5 The Citadel
Sept. 12 at Connecticut
Sept. 19 East Carolina
Sept. 26 at Georgia Tech
Oct. 3 Virginia
Oct. 10 Georgia Southern
Oct. 22 Florida State (ESPN)
Oct. 29 at Virginia Tech (ESPN)
Nov. 7 Duke
Nov. 14 Miami
Nov. 21 at Boston College
Nov. 28 at NC State

This is why we don't need to schedule another good opponent outside UGA.

We have to compete with that, in terms of # of wins.

Like us, F$U and Clemson last year they play 2 D1-AAs so only one counts toward bowl eligibility.

NC State plays 8 home games - 2 D1-AAs, South Carolina and Pittsburgh all at home.

Is it really that easy? ECU and Uconn were ranked at times last year. They do play two FCS teams but that happens from time to time. Cross Conference they play FSU @BC @NCSU which is equal or harder than us playing @FSU CLEM WAKE

The biggest break they get is 12 days between games in the middle of the season.

Vandy was ranked at times last year.

Vandy = ECU = UConn

we dont compete with them in total # of wins...we just compete with them in overall ACC play. its not that big of deal. they just dont get that good of games to better themselves before the stronger teams in the ACC

i wouldnt want those three games to end the season...NC state will be good this year. their qb starting playing awesome near the end of the year and BC and Miami will both be tough opponents. i agree with fridge 8-4 at best for them with those losses coming from us, miami, bc, and nc state. hell i could see them loosing two more games too

It does matter for bowl jockeying - there have been many years (which many blame Gailey for) in which NCSU and Maryland (and probably others) had better overall records and went to better bowls - but had worse ACC records. NCSU is notoriously bad for playing 4 cupcakes on top of their ACC schedule.

in my eyes im shooting for the ACC championship game so i dont see the point worrying about how well other teams do in out of conference games. i see us in the acc championship game so in that sense ACC play is the only thing that matters

OCTOBER 10TH DAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GATA EAGLES!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone tunes in to check out GSU finally win their first FBS game.

Shut up beej. Just because they want to pussify their schedule doesn't mean we should too.

Agreed. There are no advantages to UNC having a weak ass schedule like that. Unless they go undefeated it will only hurt them. And we'll see to it that they don't. The ACC is down...and until it becomes a powerhouse conference, we'll have to have a decent OoC schedule to not only get respect but to also get the BCS points.

Disagree...playing a hard schedule as an ACC team does not matter period.

If you are undefeated you play in the BCS championship.

If you have one loss you play in the Orange Bowl.

Should the non-ACC Champion have only one loss (highly unlikely) they will not get the at-large BCS bid...only teams from the SEC, Big 12, Pac 10, and Big 10 are given at-large BCS bids.

In summary...there are only two things that are in important for an ACC that wants to go to the BCS.

Either:
A) Win the ACC Championship
B) Go undefeated

Half disagree. FSU and Miami will get at-large bids. Hell even when the suck they get good stuff handed to em.

No two fanbases in the Coastal are farther apart on their opinion of an upcoming matchup than UNC and GT.

We gave them that game with turnovers and there is no way we come in as devastated on the OL. They lose all their playmakers on O. And we are at home.

UNC fans think they have the triple O figured out and will shut us down again easy.

The answer is in between. Our O should be better but UNC will still play smart on D and actually knows how to tackle. UNC's O will miss their stellar WR corp but our D is unlikely to be better. Should be a good game.

Every team that beat us last season believes they have the TO figured out. Hell teams that lost to us but felt the need to comment on our losses say they have the TO figured out. I think next season will show that the TO isn't "figured out", it's countered the same as any offense. UNC and LSU had extra time to prepare for us and because they did well against our offense they "figured us out". It makes me wonder if these people ever realize that other offenses can be countered given extra time to prepare.

That game was a "scheduled loss" if ever I've seen one. We were playing our 6th game in a row and 4th in a row against very physical teams. They were playing after an off week.
