New ACC scheduling model

FSU has the toughest permanent opponents I guess with Clempson and ThugU?
 
"Top 2 teams by conference winning percentage."


The tie breakers for that could get dicey past head to head.
 
I don’t hate it. There was no way to make it 100% “fair,” but this at least looks close.

Seems fishy. They gonna save a bunch of money on travel expenses.
 
I love the model. Really gives some variety for people like me who like to road trip.

I am a bit confused on how they chose our permanent opponents (I thought Duke was a no-brainer), but count me as a huge fan for the scheduling variety alone.
 
I don't hate this at all. We should always play Clemson. Winston-Salem is fun for a Saturday night game and there's plenty to do in horse town.
 
So who do we play in the Benz in 2025? L'ville or the Canes? I believe the rest has been scheduled... I have Clemson this year, 2023 L'ville, 2024 ND, and 2025 is empty correct?

Would seem Duke didn't want to have to leave the state so that precludes us as a permanent opponent. Seeing that one, half surprised they didn't do that for all 4.

Two things.

First, taken as a whole, this makes the ACC more regional and traditional. Unless you're Duke or UNC, you're gonna have gripes about being short changed, which the irony of that shouldn't lost since we're talking about keeping things regional and traditional.

Second, flipping FSU for WF would be suicidal for Tech.
