GT v Cumberlan made #9 on the list:

Biggest college football loss: Cumberland College Bulldogs

Prior to the 1916 college football season, Cumberland folded its football team, but due to a scheduling obligation, they needed to suit up once more to play its game against Georgia Tech or risk a $3,000 fine. Cumberland's baseball team had run up the score 22-0 on GT earlier that year, so Tech head coach John Heisman (of Heisman Trophy fame) wanted to teach Cumberland a lesson. Tech led 126-0 at halftime, but Heisman didn't take his foot off the gas. The GT quarterback passed for nearly 1,000 yards, and Cumberland was thoroughly embarrassed 222-0 in the most lopsided college game in history.

He must have meant GT ran for nearly 1,000 yards. I searched it real quick and you were right (see below). I also included in the quote a fact I did not know - the second half was only 15 minutes long. Just imagine the score had we played the full half!

Heisman finally showed mercy, agreeing to cut the second half to 15 minutes, but it mattered little. The game ended with no first downs for either team. Georgia Tech scored every time on its first, second or third play. Cumberland’s only play of note was a 10-yard pass, little help since it came on fourth-and-22.

Rushing: Georgia Tech 978 yards/ Cumberland -42.

Passing: Georgia Tech 0 for 0/Cumberland two for 18 for 14 yards and six interceptions.

Turnovers: Georgia Tech 0/Cumberland 15.

And I don't feel Cox's ejections belongs on a top 10 of most embarrassing.

I think both of the hockey stats are misleading as well. Having a high +/- may mean you suck, but it may also mean you're the defenseman logging the most minutes on a crappy team. And nothing about Hextall's record is even remotely embarrassing. Except for playing for the Flyers.

having a high plus/minus would be good
having a low plus/minus would be bad, but as you say could be the result of you being on the ice with other bad players

Yea, my mistake. I should amend that to say having a +/- very far away from zero in the wrong direction.

I'd think that's more embarrassing records out there. Most missed field goals, worst career free-throw percentage, most strike out at bats. In hockey, the only embarrassing record I can think of is most penalty minutes for diving, but since that's a relatively new rule, I don't it is appropriate.

I'd say that save percentage would be a little more accurate assessment of a goalies skills. Case in point would be Luongo, who was a phenomenal goaltender, but no one can stop 60+ shots during an evening.

And as for Kaufmen's title, I can only aspire to be that great of a wrestler.

And he masterminded the most lopsided, memorable game in college football history. In the spring of 1916, Tech's baseball team (Heisman also coached baseball and basketball) was humiliated 22-0 by a Nashville pro team masquerading as Cumberland College. That fall, Cumberland decided to drop football, its athletic program in disarray. But Heisman was determined to avenge the baseball loss and embarrass the sportswriters who awarded the national championship to the highest-scoring team. So Heisman offered Cumberland a $500 guarantee and an all-expenses-paid trip to Atlanta. Cumberland accepted and 19 players (most members of Kappa Sigma fraternity, with scant football knowledge) left Lebanon, Tenn., by train for Atlanta. Only 16 arrived, three getting lost in Nashville. By the time it was over, Tech had scored 32 touchdowns and 222 points in just 45 minutes of play. And Heisman had proven his point about pointless point totals. The following year, the Golden Tornado were 9-0 and national champs, the third straight unbeaten team for Heisman.

If Cox wasn't embarrassed by getting ejected, why would the most ejections be any more embarrassing? He usually did it on purpose.
