The Sky is the Limit

This is a great point. If Nesbitt isn't getting hit on every single down, then I feel alot more confident about his ability to stay sharp through the season.

There's going to be high expectations for us this year on offense, and I'm excited.

Cant wait!!! This year is going to be sweet on offense. If we improve a little on defense I see a national championship in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!

TO HELL WITH GEORGIA

it doesn't sound like such an eternity when they say only 14 practices before T-Day... nice! :)

The one thing I'm worried about, and I don't mean to be a downer here or anything, is whether or not Paul Johnson can recruit all-star players on defense. We've got some absolute monsters on that side of the ball, and I sometimes worry that there's an immediate window of success that we need to exploit before we turn into a Big 12 team and try to win shootouts.

I don't know why he couldn't recruit first-class defensive players. Success breeds success.

Isn't that one of the major things people were worried about with the offense too? Seems we've gotten past that one, I think we'll be just fine on the defensive side of the ball too.

Look at this year or last year's recruiting on defense, and you'll see that we have recruited very similarly to many previous years, perhaps better (see Rashaad Reid and Cooper Taylor, as well as Steven Sylvester and TJ Barnes).

Also, we are in very good shape with two top 20 DBs for this next year...one of them may be top 5 (Ayers).

If you build it.....they will come

I don't know if we'll have a problem recruiting, but I agree with you that defense is a concern. We started looking shaky on that side of the ball towards the end of last year.

I can't wait to find out though. It seems like football season will never get here. Hopefully the Spring game will help.

What defensive player wouldn't want to play on a team that scores like we are going to?

Shakey on "D"? What great team wasn't? OU, TT, Texas, even Florida, Alabama, LSU, USC had their moments. I do not remember a really great defensive team from last year, do you?

I still don't know if he can recruit! I'm going to talk to him about it next week.

What's truly scary is given some of the stuff you've talked about in the past, I can't tell how serious you are.

Well, most would say USC was the closest to that and LSU's moment lasted from august to november.

PJ can recruit. Just look at some of the talent he signed last year on defense.
