Average 2009 Preseason Ranking : GT #11

Wow. I can't believe ND made three of their lists.
 
It is GREAT to see TECH getting preseason respect--now we have to justify it on the field when "toe meets leather"!
 
Some writers are even putting Jimmy Clausen on the potential Heisman Watch.....
 
What are y'all so surprised for?! It's Notre Dame! They are blessed by our savior, Jesus Christ!

Best part about that kind of preseason ranking is even if we have a similar to last year season (e.i. losing none in a row and only once in a while) means we might stay ranked all season and could if break top 10 or top 5 with a great season.
 
If we start anywhere near the top 10 and win our first two will be in the top ten with the USC/OSU, ALA/VT, and OklaSt/UGA within the first two weeks, hell if we start at 12 we could be top 10 after the first week

Not as likely given our first game is Jax St. However! If we win the first 3/4 games (Clemson Miami and perhaps UNC as well) I can see us in the top 10.

CANT WAIT FOR SEPTEMBER!!!

I think he meant that there are a number of Top 10 faceoffs in the first two weeks so if we start 2-0 or 3-0, then it is likely some of those Top 10 teams will lose a game and possibly churn us into the Top 10 (especially if we are ranked 12th)

I know, but it isn't so likely if all that's on our resume is a win over Jax state but yeah 2 or 3 wins later for sure.
 
Most everyone else starts out with a cupcake game as well. If we start #11, by default, we should move up at least one spot - I don't see three teams leapfrogging us. I also don't see Clemson hanging close with us this year.
 
I wonder when all the checks Weiss wrote are going to clear.
 
Must be that new math. I average the rankings and get 12.
 
Yeah, that threw me for a loop too. It's not an "average preseason ranking," it's a composite preseason ranking.

I thought our savior is Obama. They are ready to be blessed by him later in the Spring, been in all the papers.
